We simply wanted to attend the theater and spend a night away from home. The Providence Hotel was perfect! T he room was beautifully furnished, the service was excellent. It was a one block walk to the theater. After the show we were sitting in the lounge enjoying a snack and looking out on the courtyard while others were sitting in a traffic jam on the way home. It was a lovely little vacation and we will stay there again.

Clean, comfortable room but "city view" really means view of I-195. I live in NYC, so I'm not bothered much by the noise, but I could imagine others might have difficulty sleeping. The location is convenient for the Brown University campus area, but is slightly off the beaten track and down a rather deserted road. Overall it was a good stay and I would stay again if I need to visit the Brown area.

Everything went extremely smoothly from check-in to check out. The valet welcomed me but indicated that I could self-park, particularly if the car wouldn't be in and out of the facility. This hotel is directly connected to the Convention Center and lots of amenites, making it a good all-weather choice. I was checked into the "concierge" level on the 21st floor, and the room was quiet and comfortable. Wi-fi was not included, at least at the (low) price I paid.

We traveled to Providence for Thanksgiving, and realy enjoyed staying at the Hilton. Loved being close to great restaurants on Federal Hill, and fantastic shopping. When you're visiting family, you need to have a refuge. The Hilton was comfortable and friendly at a great price.

Staff very nice, heating/air conditioning unit cycles on and off with a loud bang, nice room, very tight parking spaces. Parking is $21/day unlimited in and out. Walking distance from major mall and multiplex cinema and several blocks of nice restaurants.

Perfect. Warm choc chip cookies when I checked in, a very comfortable bed with a nice duvet and lots of pillows. Shower had good pressure and curved rod for extra room. And a complimentary breakfast the next morning. Perfect!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Providence Biltmore. Great room (junior suite with 2 king beds). Excellent location and enjoyed having the big Starbucks and McCormack & Schmick's right downstairs. Would stay here again.

Excellent staff at the front door, and desk.
The hotel is charming and had a lot of room in the two room king suite. $121. The living room was a corner with a great view of the down town. Restaurant and the bar had great seafood, mussels, clams, and the dinner of atlantic salmon with truffel mushrooms very fresh. I liked the trade off of older room and decorating (bedding was updated and comforatble) for large room and good location. The overnight parking for $26 was the only negative but total price still less than other down town properties. I recommend this hotel.

Room was not big but "OK". Pool, exercise room were above average. Personally do not like the beds or pillows in this chain. While only about one mile away from Downtown and the University, about half of that distance is not in a great area for walking. No close restaurants.

Providence Courtyard is right in the middle of downtown Providence. Union Station Brewery (part of the Jasper Murdoch's chain) is right outside the front door. Trinity Brewery is a few blocks away. It's a ten minute drive to see the Paw Sox. Great place to stay.

The hotel was not only very visually appealing, but the customer service was just as stellar. This hotel originally erected as a Masonic temple by the free masons just prior to the great depression. The masons were unable to complete the building and it sat incomplete until the Marriott took it over a few years ago. Not only was the hotel beautiful but a nice piece of history to match. The hotel sits seconds away from the heart of Downtown Providence with spectacular views of the capital. enjoy!

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. However, beware there is only off site valet parking which was expensive and inconvenient. Staff were friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful old building which has been restored and is within walking distance of the Providence Mall, the downtown core, the train station, the east side and some good restaurants. There is no pool or hot tub but a nice gym. We found the mattress was too firm.

Great location. In five minutes, you can walk to great restaurants and entertainment, and then come back to a relaxed, quiet and comfortable setting. The rooms are charming and clean, the and personnel are all helpful and friendly.

The Christopher Dodge House, one of the State House Inns of Providence properties, is a stunning 4 story brick Italianate mansion recently renovated into a luxury Bed and Breakfast Inn. Truly an architectural gem, the house features 11 foot ceilings, ornate plaster moldings, marble fireplaces and many original tin ceilings. The Christopher Dodge House is conveniently located walking distance from Brown University, downtown Providence, Providence Place Mall, RISD, the State Capitol and the Convention Center. Is also a few minutes drive from Providence College and Johnson and Wales University. Check-in is at 2 00 PM. Guests planning to arrive before or after this time must contact the property at least 48 hours prior to arrival to receive special check-in instructions. As a bed and breakfast property, the Front Desk hours will vary guests should contact the property to find out more information.
