For the discounted price it's okay

First I couldn't find the place because the GPS insisted that it was an empty lot. But when I finally got to check in they said they didn't process all of their internet orders in time and overbooked. So I got a room where one of the locks had been busted off, the TV had melted spots like a curling iron had been sitting on it, the rug had some sticky red spots, there were -I don't know what's- between the sheets, and two of my four towels had long black and short curly hairs in them. Not to mention that every time I flushed the toilet and big air bubble would come up and spray the contents everywhere. My room was also facing the highway and the trucks kept me up all night. It was 3 nights for $110 so I didn't raise a fuss, but I definitely will be paying the extra to get a better hotel in the future!

Time-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

First, ESA stands for Extended Stay America - the name will be more helpful in finding the hotel than the posted "ESA Columbia - Fort Jackson." If your GPS is like mine, it will tell you the hotel in in an empty lot with a restaurant called Pancho's on the hill above it. That is actually "Old Forest" road or drive. Go up by the Wal-Mart and drive around until you see the Sam's Club, the hotel is across the street from Sam's!

Good Location

Thank goodness it was only a short stay!!! Noisey, but good location to Base. Many things not kept up in room. Lights did not work when you entered room, toilet did not flush unless you took the lid off the top to do manually, reported that issue twice, and towels not serviced. I have stayed at other Extended stay locations before, that were better!

No house keeping

The room was OK but not any where near great. I was there for three days and housekeeping did not come in one time, I did not like that. The bed was extremely hard.
