We live an hour away but wanted to do back to school shopping for our 7 year old so we made a trip out of it. There are 3 floors with no elevator and all stairs. Our room was at the very end where everyone enters the hall. All night we could here the entrance door slam and stomping above. The kitchenette had a very limited supply of...EVERYTHING. The pool was very small, and had a crowd of fire ants. Our room smelled like a sewer and the mattress needs replacing as well as the pull out spring, I mean sofa bed and towels. The check in clerk was very nice, however the evening clerk has an attitude problem. They do not offer room service unless you stay 6 days or more. The high point of this hotel is that it is located in the very center of everything.

I have nothing bad to say about this place. Our stay was very peaceful! Every staff member we spoke with made us feel more than welcome to be there. We were extremely happy about all of the space in the room and especially the kitchen! We definitely did not expect to have a full kitchen! Thank you very much for providing us with such a wonderful stay.

Also, near by is the Greenville Spartanburg International Airport. Downtown businesses and dining are close by along with local athletic facilities. The Peace Center, Bob Jones University, Furman University, the Bi-Lo Center as well as Greenville Technical College.

Because of the type of people who stayed there we were really scared. It is not a regular motel for travelors. It looked like it was a place where they put the homelesss, but I am not sure. I think you shoud drop thom form you list of motels. It is the worst I have ever stayed in.

First, it was very difficult to find and not a a very favorable location. When we arrived at 5:30 pm to check in there was a closed sign on the office door. The sign said the office hours for Sunday was 9 AM to 5 PM and to call the after hours number on the door. When I did, I only got an answering machine. I immediately called Orbitz customer service to cancel the reservation for that hotel and booked another hotel.

We stayed here 1 night and the room is nice and clean and very nicely decorated. We were very impressed upon first entering. I have one observation and one complaint. There wasn't much room to walk between the bottom of the beds and the dressers, only room for one person. The bed I slept in was extremely unformfortable and made for a horrible nights sleep. There appeard to be a huge hump in the bed right where my hip hit and caused me some major discomfort all night and into the next day. I would not stay at this particular motel again just for this reason. The breakfast was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed it. If not for the bed, I would highly recommend this motel.

To get into the hotel at first was a little challenging but we finally figured it out.
The bath tub was extremely slow draining - I forgot to tell the front desk. The shower curtain was mildewed at the bottom & there was mildew on shower tiles. The sheets on the bed are not for an active sleeper. But really all those were minor - it was a otherwise clean & quiet place to sleep/shower and go from.
The breakfast was OK. The guy who ran it saved it from complete disappointment. He would cook to order - other then that it was a mediocre offering. The cook was very pleasant & upbeat.

The room was clean and comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. The heater was excellent and I did not need to use it all the time.
The breakfast was excellent. I have never had the owner/manager of a hotel cook my eggs and pancakes plus bring it to my table when it was done. Everything was home made and the service was above what I expected.
My overall stay was very good!

Hotel was recently built and had a great design and look to the rooms. Bed and bathroom were spacious, everything was clean, and didn't hear any noise from neighboring rooms. Walkable from the hotel to all the restaurants and shops downtown. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is also within 20 minutes of 3 campuses: Clemson University, Furman University, and Bob Jones University. This Red Roof has plenty of shopping and a variety of restaurants located nearby.

The first room had a foul smelling refrigerator & we were moved immediately. The next room & appliances were clean. The bed was comfortable but the bedding was old and there were several areas of cigarette burns in the comforter. There were plenty of towels, soap & shampoo. There was no traveller information in the room nor were there signs to hang on the door. The staff was extremely nice & helpful. Was quiet during the night. For the money we saved it was well worth it. We paid the extra $5/night for the upgraded room with the frig, microwave, & larger work desk. Plenty of room for my disabled friend and all of our baggage. A coffee pot would have been nice.

We booked the hotel in order to attend my nephew's wedding. We were given a room with a roof view and were treated very rudely by the reception staff when they found out we had booked our trip through [...] rather than through Marriott reservations. On the day of check-out we overheard the same reception person making negative remarks about both[...] and other on-line hotel reservation services.

We came in to the area for a concert and had reserved the room and paid in full through a second party beforehand.
The day of check in, they swiped my card for incidentals, but accidentally swiped the whole amount that led to a hold on my credit card and tied up our money for the concert. The credit card company was closed and unwilling to help at that time of the weekend, so the hotel management graciously and quickly found a resolution and helped us make it through the weekend, and solved the problem immediately on monday morning. The customer service is excellent.

after driving all day we arrived late at the hotel. the lobby seemed nice but everything after that was downhill. you felt dirty just being in the rooms. if it was not for just finishing an all day drive we would have left that night to find another hotel. we left first thing in the morning and found another hotel in greenville for our second night there.

The hotel was convenient from the airport and it was nice to have a shuttle pick me up. There was no extra blanket in the room. It is better for me to place another blanket on the bed, rather than turn on forced air. Other than that, it truly was a delight. The hotel was quiet, clean and the staff was professional and resourceful.

Kind of dirty the room. Bathroom tiny. There is no variety in the breakfast. I'll say ok... You get what you pay.$20 cheaper than booking with the hotel.

Reserved a smoking room was told that those particular rooms are ALL non-smoking. [...] Hotel was full so could not get another room. Desk clerk was very nice & said we could use the room for smoking.

The hotel is very nice. It's a newer hotel that was very clean and the staff were super friendly. They allowed me to check-in early due to my flight arriving earlier in the AM. I had no issues with this place at all and will stay again in the future. Plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance plus located by lots of shopping centers.

Enjoyed my stay at LaQuinta Inn & Suites. The shuttle was a very convenient service. My room had a small refrig. and microwave. Short driving distance from Haywood Mall and good restaurants. The free breakfast was adequate. The beds were comfortable. The staff very accomodating to my needs. I would recommend this hotel.

With Downtown Greenville steps away, Pettigru House is a great alternative to cookie cutter chains. The rooms are comfortable. The hospitality is superb- homemade cookies, tea, coffee. Fantastic home cooked breakfast.
