A very good hotel and location
I enjoyed my stay there,if not that I had a room that did not have fresh bed sheets. There was no internet on the side I was,which I never expected from a hotel of this kind

BAD HOTEL
Very small, dirty room.,staff not friendly,lot of noise first thing in the morning(7.00 am), parking across the street.They charge me additional 23.00 bucks for something??????I show them my papers from that they should charge me 21.00 for some taxes but they still charge me 23.00 Never again I would stay here or any of my friends.

Great and Helpful Staff
I checked in on Friday and the staff were very helpful. Didn't like the location of the pool. It's in the front on the hotel by the lobby instead of being tucked in the back. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and was included in the price.

Decent stay close to boardwalk
Overall, this hotel is a reasonable place to stay. It's nothing fancy by any means, but it provides a safe place to stay within walking distance to local attractions. Our room was clean, but I did see a bug in the bathroom. However, there were no more incidents other than the one. The staff was nice and there was even a gentleman riding around on his cart to help haul our luggage to the hotel. You have to park across the street from the hotel, but it's not a far walk at all. We had complimentary breakfast at "The Patio" located directly across from Palmetto Shores and it was decent as well

If you are looking for some delicious seafood, eat at The Noisy Oyster. The food was so good, we had to eat there two days in a row! And it is close to the hotel as well!

How Could You Not at This Price
In town for a convention. Nightly stay included buffet breakfast at restaurant next to hotel. Hotel is dated but clean and comfortable. Price made it seem like we actually could relax and enjoy it.

GROSS BUT NICE
I first checked into a room with my girlfriend to only find a USED AND NOT CLEAN ROOM!!! They checked me into a recently used room that hasnt been clean, bed was a mess.. The place reeked..I usually dont complain but once I walked into the place i had to. I called the front desk and the manager called me and upgraded me to a oceanfront view 3x the size of my old room. With a full kitchen and 2 beds. The manager dude was nice. But the place had wet floors still and the door was broken to the balcony. Beds need to be upgraded but for the price..it made a bad place turn to a decent place..OH and the breakfast was free and it was a buffet! GOOD FOOD

A nice getaway for my husband and I. We have alot of stress in our lives right now.
First, I was dissappointed because we didn't have an oceanfront room. We assumed it was all oceanfront, thus the name of the hotel. Then I asked for a smoking room, which was confirmed, they don't have any smoking rooms there. You might want to change that option!! We always stayed at the Sand Castle South. Its a much nicer place and oceanfront. We love Myrtle Beach. We have been their 14 times.

just what we needed
we booked september 20th-24th and did not want to leave. the resort had everything we needed, including a great breakfast buffet directly across the street that was free of charge. on our last full day, I decided to ask the front desk if we could get an additional nights stay since we were having such a great time. he (Bob) gracefully answered "of course!" and gave us a slightly cheaper rate. the room was clean, staff was great, and the view was incredible. I would recommend this resort to anyone that is looking for a great room on the beach at an unbeatable price!
