Clean room, reasonable price.
Moderate-to-poor breakfast selections and the pool was freezing/unheateed (not good for the child), but all the basics of the hotel were fine.

Second stay not so great.

This was our second time to stay in this hotel. Overall the experience was good. However, we had several issues crop up. The first night of our four night stay was good-slept great! The second night the TV remote broke which was not a big deal as the front desk had a replacement. The third night the handle to the toilet broke but we were able to take care of necessary "business" until we reported it the following morning. We were offered a new room but elected to stay where we were as we were unpacked for a four night stay. The toilet was repaired when we got back to our room later that day. The morning after the toilet repair when getting ready to shower etc. I noticed that a bag of toiletries- face creams, body lotions, hair products and a hair dryer were missing from the bathroom. We searched the room and they were not to be found. When I called the front desk to report it I was told that they would check with housekeeping but I never heard back from either the front desk or housekeeping. It was a pretty heavy bag and if one had taken just a second to look you would know that it wasn't trash. It was probably my mistake to leave it on the floor tucked under the vanity, however it is irritating to have to go across the street to Walmart on a Sunday morning to replace products so you can get ready for church. On our final morning there was NO coffee pot in the room. I'm not sure this hotel will be my first choice on future stays in the area.

The pillows were to die for. Loved everything!!! We did find socks from other guests under the airconditioner but I'd go back in a heatbeat!!!!!

Outback is less than 50 feet from the front door. Roadhouse Steakhouse, Applebees, Golden Corral, IHOP, and Hibachi Grill all within 200 yards. For a business traveler like myself - that makes this HIE the best.

Hotel is older and no frills! With that said it was clean and a good price for last minute planning. I would not pay higher then $65.00 for these rooms though!

Clean, Quiet Budget Hotel

Good customer service/response for very late check-ins. Good location close to food, shopping, gas, etc. Close to AFB but far enough Continental breakfast just okay. Free WIFI is a major plus. I changed rooms after arrival and at staff suggestion even though problems were minor. Moved from double to king suite. Both rooms were clean and bedroom bed setups were a nice touch. Minor issues during stay included: noisy air/heat unit, very noticeable peeling wallpaper, no "Do Not Disturb" sign, noisy bathroom light/fan, TV remote missing back cover, chair to desk missing (staff delivered chair within 10m of request), and shower leaked behind shower wall when shower was on. Most annoying/disappointing: Maintenance banged on door before it was time for me to checkout to supposedly inquire about a curtain rod (non emergency which could have waited until I checked out of the room) and Housekeeping entered room without knocking and before it was time for me to checkout. Maintenance and upkeep could use attention and would certainly have made a difference in my rating. Overall the stay was quiet, the room and bathroom were clean, the location was good, I felt safe, and customer service/response was good. Decent and inexpensive for a short 1-2 day stay.

There is not anything bad about this property, however there is not anything really good, It is very average including furnishings. The bed is not up to par when compared to other property brands. The breakfast and breakfast area was good. Did not use indoor pool but without a doubt it ranks with best found in all properties in this area. I am rating this a 2 star property primarily because I have gotten much more value for same amount paid at higher rated hotel.

If it would have been a non-smoking hotel it would have been a much more pleasant stay. However, with that said - the staff met my needs, the breakfast had a good selection.
Location was decent for what you needed.
Was put in a smoking room-even though requested non - so that was pretty unbearable.

The information page said there was an indoor pool. The hotel next to the sleep in is a partner hotel and you have to walk across the parking lot to use the indoor pool. I've stayed in a couple hotels in Sumter and holiday inn express was the best one yet.

Wonderful stay. We were in town for family event, the hotel is near several other hotels, but we will remain with this hotel chain for any future needs. Clean rooms, near restaurants, friendly staff.

Very pleasant, only problem was the pool was closed. We were there for my grandson's graduation and I book this hotel because it had an indoor pool. We were very disappointed. The pool was shocked the day before and was still closed the next day. I know when you shock a pool it only takes 8 hours. They could have shocked it at night and opened it the next day in the AM.Otherwise it was a good experience. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, a good breakfast. I would stay again and tell others they won't go wrong with this hotel.

Was very disappointed by the fact that we had to request housekeeping upon check in to clean the bathroom- the toilet was filthy, there was trash left in the bathroom trashcan from the previous guests. The bed was was too soft- felt like I was sleeping in qicksand. The fact that they are an extended stay and not a "hotel" really disappointed us with the fact that they do not have breakfast- although we were informed that we were welcome to cross the street and eat at their sister hotel. Will not be staying at this "extended stay" facility in the future as long as one of the other hotels have a vacancy.
