Quick stopover
Staff was friendly, amenities limited. No refrigerator in room, bit older than many Express stays. Good location if visiting downtown area. Many other hotels outside of downtown area if quick overnite stay needed along major highway. Would most likely not stay here again with other options in the area.

Nicely done! Had not been to South Dakota since June 1990. Excellent location! Great views from where I stayed. One of the best experiences I have ever had!

Disappointed
Staff was rude and not very accomadating. We booked a room with a king bed, we were given 2 doubles. It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room.

Great get away location
Great location, away from freeway noise, close to many easting establishments, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, great view of the city from our room. Black Hills gold jewelery factory right across the street with free tours and good discounts. Visited Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Sturgis and Deadwood. Breakfast buffet was great, food hot and nice variety.

Louis and Family
Great Place to Stay for Family Vacations
This hotel is centrally located if you plan to see local area attractions. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. If you want to spend all day in a pool, don't stay here, but if you plan to get out and see Mt. Rushmore, Deadwood, Custer Park, and the Badlands, locations don't get much better than this. We saved big by eating the great free breakfast which included meat and eggs every day. We went for a room with a jacuzzi tub, and our feet were grateful after long days of sightseeing and hiking.

Be sure to get a Smart Alec device if you're going to see the Black Hills. This was a great addition to our trip. It helped us find attractions, see sights we would have otherwise missed, and learn a lot of interesting history and stories.

Stinky motel with unfriendly staff
Both front office staff and most other staff seemed to not welcome my family as they did not greet us and looked at us like zoo animals. I would highly recommend racial sensitivity training. Many of the guests were very friendly and treated us the way we would treat others.

Good Value/Comfort, too.
Very friendly helpful staff, choice of soft or firm pillows, soft linens, and comforter. Bed was very comfortable. Nice breakfast. Near Rapid City and all the tourist's attractions.
