PLEASE NOTE - From August 8th to August 14th, 2011 the hotel requires a 3 night minimum length of stay and a credit card deposit of the first two nights stay. The deposit is refundable up until 30 days prior to arrival. Welcome to the Microtel Inn and Suites I-90, a Rapid City hotel near Mount Rushmore National Memorial. The Microtel Inn and Suites is ideally located one block south of Interstate 90. This Rapid City, SD hotel is near Rushmore Mall and Rushmore Crossing Shopping center. Our location provides easy access to many attractions and events, including Mount Rushmore National Memorial, the Black Hills National Forest, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, Crazy Horse, Ellsworth Air Force Base, Rushmore Plaza Civic Center and Reptile Gardens. We stayed in a suite. All about this hotel exceeded out expectations. The breakfast had many choices (including hot waffles). It was easy access on and off the freeway to various sites we came to see. Many restaurants nearby and a movie theatre.

Weekend Getaway

The price thru Cheap ticket was twice the price if I had gone thru the hotel directly. First room was way too small and had no amenities (microwave or fridge) which we require due to special diet in which we needed those things to store and warm food. Was woken at 12:30 middle of night by drunk lady knocking on door and other's doors. 2nd & 3rd time she was doing it to be obnoxious. She knocked and ran!!! Security did respond in very timely manner.

Good hotel.

Great breakfast. Comfortable bed. Temperature in the room was rather low, we had to use loud heater all the time.

Great Stay, Great Staff

Very responsive staff, got in a bit early the room was ready for us, no problems. Very comfortable room, nice beds, TV was very nice, but a bit finicky, but not enough to be a big problem. Wireless was good, fast and plenty of signal. The room was very clean, soft sheets and nice pillows, very quiet rooms. We had a nice rest and had no problems navigating to and from the location. Overall it was a little bit more than some other places but I feel like a got a great value for the money. I will definitely go back again.

The movie theaters in are very nice, but the popcorn and snacks there are very high. Get the big bucket if they have any, it is a better deal that way.

Fit for purpose

The room was very small but it was fit for purpose. It was clean and the room service was good. Breakfast is very basic but ok. Handy to airport, Rushmore Mall, restaurants.

The Minerva Restaurant in the Best Western just up the road on LaCrosse is excellent. We ate there twice and the steaks were brilliant. Highly recommended.

South Dakota Vacation

It was a great hotel for the price! My teen boys even got plenty to eat at the continental breakfast provided every morning. Staff was helpful and courteous. Very centrally located for anything you would want to see in the Black Hills area from Devil's Tower in WY to Mt Rushmore.

Pizza Ranch is a chain pizza buffet out there. I know there is one in Sturgis and I think there is one in Rapid City, GREAT pizza reasonably priced, our family of 5 ate there for lunch for $40 with soda pops included in the price!

Clean and comfortable
