Ramada Rapid City SD

The water heater worked sporadically (tepid shower anyone?), the room door allowed a constant flow of cold air in and the thermostat must not have been connected as it seemed to have no effect on the actual air temperature from the "heater", good thing it was in the 50s or we'd have frostbite. The decor was worn and dated, the door lock and towel rack were falling off (glad I had my Swiss army knife). Lobby was impressive but not much else.

Good location, good swimming pool, clean room, and nice breakfast!

The signal strength for Wi-Fi was so low you could barely access the internet. During the few times when a connection was made the connection would invariably break. I needed the Wi-Fi and this was one of the primary reasons for selecting the hotel. Was very disappointed with this.

Was nice kinda old but the bed was soft Staff was wonderful very helpful and upbeat.

While the hotel doesn't look the greatest from the outside, the lobby and pool area are beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the free hot breakfast every morning was quite good. Staying in Rapid City was perfect for our sightseeing interests - very centralized location to Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Deadwood, etc. The location of the hotel right off of I-90 and just blocks from the local mall and lots of restaurant options was also good.

This hotel is a little bit old and the rooms/building in general are a bit dated but they were clean and comfortable. The AC was quiet and worked well. The staff were friendly. The pool is huge! We didn't get the chance to swim since we arrived in very late but it seemed to be well used. The fitness center is also old but acceptable. The breakfast was good, many hot selections, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles. There was also cereal, oatmeal (instant), yogurt, fruit, muffins, and toast. The breakfast was a great start to the day. I think it was a little overpriced for the age of the hotel, but overall a decent experience.

The hotel had all the accomodations we were looking for. The staff was really great and addressed our problems right away. The issues we had while we were there were smoking in the room next door, refridge not working in our room, and requested extra pillows and towels. The pool area was great and the breakfast was wonderful each morning!

ALOT OF SIGHT SEEING

You enter your room from the parking lot through a paper thin door and the wall that separates you from the parking lot is all glass. You hear every noise outside your room! But, this is Rapid City and rooms are tough to find in the summer. This motel is close to the highway and it is close to all of the wonderful Black Hills attractions. The free breakfast is good but the place is cramped and the wait for food is long. The pool is big but cold, the hot tub was great. They have broken workout equipment but they also have pool tables. We stayed here 3 nights and I did not sleep well. We moved to a different hotel in Custer, SD and it was great.

The room itself was okay. Nothing great but nothing bad either. The hot breakfast buffet was excellent. The pool area is also very nice.
