Jameson Inn Jackson, TN

The best thing about this hotel is how it looks from the outside. It has curb appeal and the foyer is attractive but beyond that our experience went downhill. We had a standard room with two double beds and it was the most cramped hotel room I've ever been in, the mini fridge was literally touching one of the beds. You could barely turn around in the bathroom, you had about as much room as a stall in a restroom plus the tub. The sink and vanity were in the main room right by the door. No privacy. The room was not kept up well maintenance wise with paintings, scuffs, cracks and chips, etc. The absolute worst part of everything was the bed, it was the hardest mattress I've ever encountered in a hotel, their websites claim all the rooms have a pillowtop mattress...not mine! I slept on a rock. I literally considered moving to the floor, at least there was some padding. The only good thing I have to say about this place is the location of the Jackson, TN hotel is nice, right off the highway and there is a lot of retail and restaurants to choose from. Overall, I'd like to stay at that exit again but I will spend a little more and stay elsewhere.

Our stay was a stop over on the way to OK. We had traveled for over 12 hours and were extremely tired. The Jamison was clean and our rest was refreshing. [...]

Great location - only about 2 miles from Union University. Rooms were clean, but the building is a bit older. Everything worked well. Great for the money. Only complaint is that we asked for a non-smoking room, but our room smelled like it had been smoked in and they had sprayed to cover it up.

The room was great! We had a great time !

We had a nice stay. But, There was a large group of teens there with a bus and they did not prepare enough breakfast! Then on top of that they charged us for our room again. After already having paid [...]!!! Did not appreciate that at all!!!Then on top of that it would have been cheaper to call the Inn it self and book the room!! It would have been cheaper by $18.00!!! I feel with the mix up and that that [...] should refund!!!

Really nice room with lots of pillows, comfy bed. Water pressure was AWESOME in the shower. Staff very friendly. If I was to make a recommendation to the hotel I'd say some kind of protein at breakfast even if it's just hard boiled eggs and some more shower type stuff in the rooms, like lotion, shower gel. That's being nit picky though. It really was a VERY nice hotel and great location right off Hwy by all the food and shopping.

We stayed at this hotel in Dec. and had a great experience so decided to stay again for this trip. After driving 10 hrs. from Ohio, on our way home to MS, we were ready to get into the room, eat and sleep. While checking in, the clerk decided to answer the phone and help that customer instead of putting them on hold and taking 5 min. to get us settled. Then, when we entered the room, there were little black bugs by the ice bucket and some on the floor. We also had problems with the air conditioner. It wasn't cooling like it should have. I can over look the clerk, air conditioner and even the bugs, sometimes they just sneak in, but there is no excuse for the coffee pot being dirty. I had to wash it out the next morning before we could make our coffee. This was a big disappointment since the hotel is fairly new, we will take our business elsewhere the next time we're in Jackson, TN.

I was told I did not have a reservation. Even with my confirmation number I was told it was not there. After Insistance, the clerk found it to be dated "March" instead of "May" in the hotel's files. They gave me the only remaining room available.

This motel was "ok" but not a 3-star motel as promoted. The bathroom sink/counter was in the sleeping area, not in a separate room with the shower/commode. In my opinion, this is typical of cheaper motels. The drapes had hooks missing and could not be closed properly so the outside night light lit up the room. The TV had terrible reception, almost unwatchable. Skimpy breakfast. Clean but that's all I can say about it.
