it was ok
This is a very old hotel. It needs some upgrading. I was glad that I only had to stay for one night. It was accommodating enough to get the job done...which was just to have somewhere to lay my head.

Regular customer
While Microtel doesn't offer a lot of extras (pool, restaurant etc) it is quite comfortable and clean. The staff there are always pleasant, personable and professional. They go above and beyond to be helpful. I stay there frequently and will continue to do so.

Great casual dining at Picasso's, one of our favorite Jackson restaurants. Pizza, salad, fresh Hawaiian fish flown in weekly. Something for everyone.

Needs remodeling and Retrain Staff
This hotel is the worse. It use to be nice but I would rather sleep in my car or on the street then here. Housekeeping needs to learn how to clean a room and front desk needs customer service training. Manager was nice but she needs to get her staff in check and put in a request to her boss to remodel the whole hotel. This is 2011 not 2000.

Downgrade Microtel
1. They put us in a handy capped room that even a handy capped person would have trouble with. 2. They moved us to the room next door that had a heater that ran only on high. 3. We had to ask for extra towels, there were 3 of us in the room, and also had to ask for toilet paper two nights in a row. 4. On Tuesday they did not make up the beds or give us any clean towels and washcloths.

Microtel in Jackson, TN
The bathtub was very dirty with hair and mystery 'gunk' dried on it! YUK!! One pillow was ripped down one side. (The side showing out of the pillowcase!) The fitted sheet was too small---had to keep pulling it over the mattress. (It, too, looked awful.) The early morning desk clerk was very nice and polite, though. Wouldn't stay there again, not even on a bet. Oh and the was only a partial roll of toliet paper!

Close to Cracker Barrel, but...
Not as good as the previous recomendations. Easy in and out. CB is next door for a good breakfast

Comfortable Room
This hotel is right next to the Interstate. As such the rooms on the front of the hotel had lots of traffic noise all night. The room was clean but I had to call to get a TV remote. A remote was brought up to me immediately. The waffle iron was great.

This was my first and it will not be my last. The rooms were clean and up-to-date. It was one of the best 2 star hotels I have stayed in.
