Old Hickory Inn Jackson

The desk staff was very friendly and professional. The rooms were clean and presentable. The only con was the highway noise.

Altho the rooms were clean, i paid for 2 queen beds and got 2 full beds and the tv service..well lets just say "static" but i wasnt there to watch tv, only to sleep. the location is great, not the best but definatly not the worst place ive stayed. did have a microwave and frige but no coffee maker and someone must have stolen the iron. not bad overall.

The outdoor pool was nice, the beds were comfortable. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave. The hotel felt old, and could use a fresh coat of paint and some new caulk in the bathroom. The AC could use a tuneup. It worked, just never did get COLD, like I like. Overall not bad for the price.

We had a good meal, a good rest, and a good protection during a tornado alert. We were awakened around 6:00 am by the city sirens, and found a good shelter in the hotel lobby together with a full load of school bus students... A reassuring welcome! Attention: The map on the site shows the hotel on the wrong side of the street... It is on the west side of Road 45.

The rooms were nasty, carpets were not clean, the bathroom had mold on tub tiles, the toilet had pubic hair on it, I had to clean it with alcohol before allowing my children to use it. Heater worked but smelled musty and moldy. There was a male that was wondering around property that was later arrested. I walked outside my room to find several police officers and a drug smelling dog. Not a place for children. We were there with several other families for a cheerleading competition and none of the families had a decent room. We will never make the mistake of trusting a website that stated this hotel was a good place to stay. Very unsatisfied.

The best place to stay at a very affordable price. I booked this place for 2 Queens bed room from [...] and I must say that I was extremely satisfied with my stay. Forget about other reviews............Pros:1. Very close to I-40 (less than a mile)2. Clean room with all amenities such as fridge, microwave, iron/with board, study desk etc.3. Continental breakfast was decent (can't compare with other high end hotels, but it's decent for the price)4. Very cozy and fresh beds.5. Quick room service and they also provided me a downstairs room upon request.

JUST WANTED A COMFORTABLE CHEAP PLACE TO SPEND THE NIGHT WHILE EN ROUTE TO KY TO VISIT FAMILY. STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY, BUT NOT HELPFUL, ASKED FOR A TOWEL, SINCE WE HAD 5 CHILDREN, AND HAD PAID FOR 2 ROOMS I THOUGHT ONLY HAVING 1 TOWEL WAS NUTS. WHEN I ASKED FOR ONE I WAS TOLD " WE DON'T HAVE ANY CLEAN, COME BACK IN AN HOUR." THE ROOMS WERE HOT, AC DIDN'T WORK. I WAS STANDING OUTSIDE TRYING TO COOL OFF AND LOOKED AROUND AND SAW 3 OTHER MOTELS WITH ROOMS ADVERTISED FOR HALF OF WHAT I PAID, VERY DISCOURAGING. ON THE POSITIVE SIDE, THE KIDS SLEPT LITTLE THAT NIGHT SO THE DRIVE THE FOLLOWING DAY WAS MOSTLY QUIET.

This has to be the absolute worst hotel I have ever seen! The location wasn't bad (in fact, we ended up staying at the Guest House across the street - which was FABULOUS!) - it is the staff and the guest(s) which are terrible. The rooms are nasty and smell - in fact, they go in and spray the rooms as you check in! Unbelievable!!!!!!

The room was clean except for an odor, like a combination of pet urine and some type of scent remover such as Odor Ban. The front desk clerk was friendly. Only had towels for 2 and desk clerk could only provide one more. We were coming from 9 hours away and basically needed an inexpensive, clean, safe place to stay. It did that.
