Christmas in Memphis
This was a quick getaway trip in route to a Family Holiday visit, (this comment has NOTHING to do with the hotel) but the 1st thing I was shocked at were the bold vagrants that come up to acting like they work at the establishment your pulling up to or going into. You can ask them a question and they are quick & helpful with information but are just as quick to ask you for money. This happened at every street corner until we told them we were locals then we were left alone. The Hotel was very nice, clean and the staff was very polite. The street noise can be heard all the way to the 6th floor but ear plugs are provided for you. The Hotel is within walking distance to shopping, eating and just about everything. While there we took the tour of Graceland which is awesome.

Perfect for a Downtown Memphis Stay
If you want to stay in a hotel walking distance to all that downtown Memphis has to offer, this is the place. Parking is in a garage for a cost of only $15 - unlimited coming and going. The room was nice, but the staff was even nicer. They answered all of my questions and were very accomodating. Definitely a good value - you pay a bit more than some of the other downtown hotels, but this is in a better, busier neighborhood, and you don't have to park on the street or in an open lot.

Reasonably priced downtown
The staff was extremely helpful, the room clean, and the room service very good. I was disappointed that the pool was not filled, but understood that it needed maintenance.

Happy as can be
perfect location for a visit
The location of the hotel is wonderful. 2 blocks from Beale street. 2 blocks from Main street (where the trolley runs) and across the street from the Peabody Hotel (where the duck go in and out of the fountain during the day). The only bad part was the sanitation workers did pickup at 4am and woke me up. It took 20 minutes to finish the block and by then, I was wide awake, but it was still well worth the stay, I'm sure if you stayed at the Peabody the same noise would have been just as loud.

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
I wanted to pick nightlife, dining, entertainment for this section, all are within a very short walk. Civil Rights museum is maybe 6 blocks from the hotel or you can take the trolley, Beale street is 2 blocks for all the blues and bbq you could want, and if you want high end ribs, the Rondevous is right next door. You get to smell the smoker all day in the hotel and it's like heaven.
