My wife and I stayed at the Homewood Suites to be near the Ryman. We were there to see a show. The hotel's location worked out perfectly for us. We would stay there again.

Nice stay, staff very helpful. Room very clean and large, but living room was windowless, and bedroom only got light from skylight. Kinda dreary, but just request outside room if you can. Broadway was 2 blocks down and 2 blocks over. easy walk. very good breakfast, and free dinner too if you don't eat out. Parking was expensive, $20 to valet, but public lots across street were cheaper, and closer than self parking in hotels lot down street.
Only knock on area was large amount of homeless, but they were never threatening or intrusive. They were everywhere downtown, not just local to hotel.

The rooms needed deep down cleaning and the bathroom especially was not clean. The soap holder had layers of soap scum on it and it was black around the edges. The room was very noisy most of the night.

I was attending a conference at the Gaylord Opry Center. It was a 20 minute walk, several fast food restaurants along the way for breakfast. My only complaint was the low water pressure in the shower, but my friends on an upper floor had great pressure. Who know why.

Dropping Daughter off at Vandy

We stayed at this hotel in conjunction with dropping our daughter off at Vandy. The location was ideal for us since her dorm was just down the road on West End Ave. The rooms were clean and suitalby sized so that she could sleep on a fold out sofa prior to move in. The staff was helpful and courteous , the room was clean, and breakfasts were suitable for our purposes.
If I had one complaint it would be that the fitness center was small and some of the equipment was out of order.

Nice renovated room. Comfortable bed. Clean. Hotel under construction, so no fitness center available, which was disappointing. Should be finished with construction in Dec 2011. Good location next to Vandy and can walk to a number of restaurants. I would stay there again.

We were in town for the U2 concert & this hotel is w/in walking distance to Vanderbilt (about 1 mile) as well as walking distance to downtown Nashville. (about 1 1/2 miles) It was very quiet while we were there. All the staff were very friendly. They have a great breakfast to start your day. Our room was tastefully decorated & had a comfortable bed. I'd stay there again!

Good for Nashville Activities

I went to Nashville to visit with a friend who lived about 20 miles east of Nashville. If i was coming again, I wouldn't probably use this hotel due to its location. If I was going to be touring Nashville, I may select this hotel again due to its close proximity to Nashville International Airport -- my primary reason for selecting it.
The room I stayed in had a king-size bed. It was rather hard, but spacious. The chair provided for the desk was very flimsy -- any leaning back at all would have caused it to topple over.
One of the energy efficient bulbs was busted... not just broken... but the glass had a hole in it.
The view out of the front window of my room was an impressive and personal view of the local Waffle House. I walked to eat there late after arrival -- I was both happy and disappointed about the location.
Staff was incredibly friendly and made up for the room's issues itself.

I had a last minute cancellation on the end of my trip and needed a quick place to stay. It was fine. Not particularly clean or special. But, it was a place to sleep and the staff were very nice & helpful!

The hotel was very comfortable, the bed was great.
Many choices for breakfast tho seating was at a premium. Outside eating was a little uncomfortable due to the heat and lack of umbrellas or awnings. Staff were all very friendly.

My first night was a room on the exterior of the hotel. It was noisy. I heard the air breaks of every bus that pulled in, room smelled musty, and there were bugs. (NOT bed bugs.) The next day, I talked to reception and they were able to upgrade me to a business class room on the interior of the hotel. This room smelled new and housekeeping was mush better than on the exterior rooms and it was quiet. A refrigerator would've been nice though.

The room was great and the staff even better. We wanted to stay closer to downtown which is where we were spending our time, but the staff helped us get downtown with a very reliable service that was reasonably priced and right on time all 4 times we used him. It actually saved on the extra walking. The breakfast was more than we expected which was a very nice treat. We'll stay there again.

The huge TV was great. Limited cable choices, but they were sufficient. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room could've been cleaner - I noticed a few stray hairs in the shower and there was at least one fly who camped out with me.

My sister found this place in an online package deal and I was nervous booking it. It turned out to be the best place I have stayed on any of my trips to Nashville.
The staff was more pleasant and attentive than the snobby staff I ran into at other hotels I have stayed in downtown, who charge more than 3 times as much. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety and was well attended.
The furniture in the rooms was a little dated, but the bed was very comfortable and the rooms and facilities were very clean. The rooms were quiet. The only con was that the jacuzzi wasn't working.
I plan to book here for our next trip this spring.

This was our second trip to Nashville. We came into town to see Alison Kraus at the Ryman. The location is excellent. We were in walking distance to everything. The rooms are large and comfortable. The free breakfast is great. Helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was just average, just what you may expect from any other hotel.
The breakfast was a bit lame, since it only included a few types of bread and yogurt, and that's about it. No eggs or anything else.
The hotel food is a bit overpriced ( 9.99 for a cold turkey pretzel sandwich).
Overall, we didn't have any unpleasant experience, so I guess that's good.

The Hotel was a nice place, the staff was friendly and the rooms were incredible. When we went down for the continental breakfast it was hard finding clean dishes to put the food on. There were no vending machines and the food they sold was outrageously overpriced even for a Hotel near a tourist attraction.

Nice hotel. Can be a little noisy at night. The doors to the hallways make a lot of noise. Lots of banging noises. Maybe ask for a room upstairs. The happy hour still lists Monday thru Friday but they didn't have it on Friday. It is only Monday thru Thursday now. Staff was ok. Breakfast was nice.

As snowbirds, my wife and I travel from WI to FL each January and return to WI in April. We have stayed at the Club House in Nashville many times. We enjoy the morning breakfast and the Manager's reception in the evening. The rooms are clean and comfortable. In previous visits we have had issues with being able to log on to our computer, and were informed by the staff that it was due to large number of students using computers, but all went well on this visit.

This hotel was very clean, comfortable, and in a decent location. We were going bar hopping downtown for my wifes 30th B-Day. Not a bad walk (distance) but you can come across some sketchy people along the way. If I were to go back to Nashville, I would most likely book at this hotel again.

After reading other reviews on orbitz website regarding the hotels I had in mind, I made the decision to stay off ground of the grand-ole opry. The Holiday Inn Express was inexpensive yet one of the better hotels I've stayed at. It was a minimal distance to the grand-ole opry hotel - a can't miss excursion while in Nashville. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Nashville area.

The Ramada Limited at the Stadium Downtown is located on the East Side of the Cumberland River, next door to LP Field Home to the TN Titans. The hotel is located off Interstate 24, Exits 48 and 49. We offer a complimentary deluxe continental breakfast to include biscuits and gravy, assorted pastries, fruits, yogurts, juice, coffee, along with make your own waffle station. The hotel provided free Wi-Fi. While visiting the Ramada make sure to stop by and take a swim in our Worlds Famous Indoor Guitar shaped swimming pool.
We offer 1,200 square feet of meeting space. The Business Center is available 24-hours with fax and copy service. The Fitness Center is equipped with a T8 Sport Treadmill, X8 Elliptical Cross Trainer and the R8 Recumbent Bike. On-site guest laundry is available. There is a 24 hour lobby Ramada Mart that sells snacks, assorted beverages - non alcoholic and many other items that include toiletries.

When we initially arrived, the first room that we had was AWFUL. it smelled like smoke and had the feel of a cheap horrible hotel. I called the front desk to complain and the manager immediately came to the room to evaluate. She apologized and promptly moved us to a different room even though they were supposedly full. The next room was brighter, smelled so much better, and altogether much nicer. We didn't have any other problems with our stay. We didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel but it was extremely convenient to all the places that we wanted to visit. I would stay there again. The included breakfast was not impressive. The only warm food was biscuit and gravy that was not good at all!
