Red Roof Amarillo is close to the Amarillo Convention Center, Amarillo College, the Tri-State Fairground, and the Cowboy Hall of Fame Museum. Downtown Amarillo is only 2 miles from this Red Roof. BSA Hospital and Northwest hospital are just 10 minutes away, and West Texas A&M University is only 20 minutes. We have a variety of great restaurants nearby—La Fiesta Mexican Restaruant, Dennys, Wendys , Arbys McDonalds, and IHOP are all within walking distance, while the Big Texan and Texas Roadhouse are less than 5 minutes away.

Magnuson Hotel Amarillo

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and smelled fresh. But the breakfast was not the greatest--too many carbs, no fruit or yogurt or scrambled eggs.

Definitely not a *** hotel

I was disappointed when I checked in the hotel. I thought it was like other typical three star hotels like the holiday inn express but it was not definitely not.

great place to stay for a family visit

For the price it was great. friendly staff. Older hotel but more than comfortable and quiet. Staff respected our wishes but always asked if we needed anything.Loved having the fridge in the room.

Magnusen Hotel in Amarillo

unfriendly customer service; also very slow; one of the staff ignored us until the line finally got very long; not warm or friendly at all.
