Okay for a short stay

I was passing through Amarillo on business and this place fits the bill for a short stay. It is an older place and the room I stayed in showed it. From the shower in the bathroom, to the tube television staring at the bed, and the layers of paint on the walls, at the price point I paid, the place would be a complete winner with a little attention to detail and investment into the facility. The room I stayed in was big though and had a fairly comfy set up with a table, three chairs, two nightstands, electronic safe, hangers, dresser, TV, and bed of course. However, lights in the room were pretty dim, so if you have trouble reading in dim light, than be prepared to use your own reading lamp or something. Breakfast was good and the staff seemed pleasant enough. I've seen worse places during all my years on the road and I've seen places that just dominate this one. I think if you are just passing through Amarillo, this place is an okay choice, but it isn't the kind of place I'd take my kids or my wife to stay on a dream vacation or anything of that sort, but on my own just doing business travel it works out fine.

Enjoyed the stay

Good stay!

Room was clean and comfortable. Great place for a stopover stay. The breakfast was great! I would definitely recommend this stay to my friends and family.

Did the job, but not much else.

Stopped in for the night while passing through town. The room seemed very dated and the bed had my back aching the next morning. Seemed as if mattress quality was one of the lesser priorities of the management team.

Good.

I stayed only for 1 night. the room air could have smelled better, but the pillows were clean, and fresh. the air conditioner was a bit old, but it worked just fine. microwave, tv, and refrigerator in room, so that was nice. wait staff was nice. good experience overall.

Needing someplace to sleep

Very nice people, excellent breakfast. Place smelt funny though & there was mold in the shower.

Good for the price

The room was just what I needed after a day of travel. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. It had all the aminites that one would need for a overnight stop. The breakfast was nice with a varity of offerings. I would stay there again on my way back.

Cracker Barrel is a short walk, but we drove. This was recommended by the hotel front desk and it was very good food and service.
