Gross Night Stay
GROSS!!!
Thank Goodness we only had to stay the night and we were drunk! When we first got there we had to get all our pillows swapped out because the were so stained and one of them was so stained that the guy said he was going to throw it away! Bed was rough during the night. Heater stopped working the next morning while we were getting ready. WILL NEVER GO BACK! SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!

It's a bed
Check-in went smoothly. The wireless internet didn't work at all ("unidentified network" in Windows Vista). There was a baby cockroach in the room. The bed was comfortable. The shower worked well. This was a cheap, comfortable place to sleep for a few hours in a long roadtrip.

Great rooms, lots to do nearby!
Clean rooms, friendly staff, nice pool and yummy breakfast. Close to shopping and restaurants in downtown Amarillo. We were there over the 4th of July and had a wonderful time.

JUNE 2011 - Great stay for a BATCHELOR..
Our one night stay was all we could handle. where to start... hotel STAFF were wonderful. the hotel itself is pretty sad. from pool that has missing tiles and no locking fence to sheets that dont fit the concrete hard bed to the odors to noisy outdoors to peeling paint in bathroom. like i said in the title - a batchelor could get past this place and enjoy it just fine, not the same for a family or a couples getaway. i suggest spending the money you are trying to save by staying here and stay at another better place. the room took about 5 hours after our arrival to finally get to a tolerable temperature. oh and my wife had to take a cold and low pressure shower. yeah- i had to pay for that one. thanks but NO thanks Travel Lodge.

OK stay
This motel was adequate. It was fairly clean, but one light did not work, the coffee maker was crusty and the bathroom fixtures were old and corroded. Having said that, the beds were comfortable and it was quiet (altho the neighborhood was rundown and made me nervous). The complementary breakfast made for a good start to our next day on the road.

Not real happy with my stay
We decided to get a hotel at the last minute. I did not think it was worth $50. The pool was very nasty looking. It was covered, but the cover had sunk down and had nasty water all in it. A home for Mesquites. The lady that checked me in was rude. She acted as if she was scared of me or something. The breakfast tasted old. The waffles were pre-made so they were cold. Ever had cold waffles? Try eating a boot, then you will know how I felt trying to eat one. Also I was really scared of the second floor. The cement was cracked and looked like it was going to fall in any time. This was the first time I stayed in a Travel lodge. We were in town for my grandson to race in the BMX State Qualifying Race.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Wal-Mart was really close. Gas was cheaper than other places between Amarillo and Dallas.

Wayward traveler's.
Good for one night stay
we stopped for the night. We arrived about 1 am and left at 9 am. So it was a good price and location for that. I wouldn't have stayed amy longer. The breakfast wasn't much, a few pastries, coffee and juice. But then again I like the hotels that serve biscuits and gravy. Like I said it was ok for a one night stay.
