Crowne Plaza AUSTIN

I was first put in a room that was already occupied. The following evening, the front desk called at 1:45 AM to see if my room was occupied. On four separate occassions, I had to go back downstairs to get my keys recoded because they were not working. I signed up for the shuttle on my departure date. I had to wait an additional 25 minutes for the shuttle because my reservation wasn't there. The breakfast was not included with the hotel, and it was expensive for the quality you received. Despite my problems, only on when I was checking out did I receive an offer of a breakfast voucher. The customer service was terrible.

The room was clean but very cramped. The refrigerator didn't work, you have to run the shower for some minutes so it can warm up and you have to enter the bathroom and turn around because there is not enough room to sit down. It was a room and it was clean and cheap, so all in all the stay was okay.

no english speaking personel except for front desk....no microwave, minifridge was not cold, would not keep drinks cold, no towels in towel area near pool, towel drop off by pool was overflowing with dirty towels..... dead bird outside 3rd floor window by our room, spider webb with big black spider on it by same window.....could not get wifi internet to work....

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza because I was running the Livestrong Marathon. Checking in was a breeze, it took no almost no time at all. Quick and painless. The hotel is right off the highway. Shopping and dining are very close by. Overall it was a good experience and I would sereiously consider staying at the Crowne Plaza again.

I've stayed at this hotel many times over the past 15 years or so (back when it was the Red Lion Hotel). Even though it's not a new hotel, they've done a great job with upkeep and I would highly recommend it. Great quality for the price, considering the downtown hotels can easily be double the price.

Since I Booked through [...] everything was already paid for, just had to show ID when I checked in it was fast and very courteous. Room was nice size and the bed was very comfortable way above the other hotel chains that make you sleep on a cardboard box with rocks in it. Had room service for breakfast food was good with ample portions. Wish I could have stayed longer. Will next time.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and good sized. Overall, we were satisfied. Main black mark was that the hotel had shuttle service to the Texas/Baylor game, but could not guarantee service back to the hotel. Not much help, so we did not use the service. Also, pillow size was pretty skimpy for a king sized bed.

Nothing to complain about.

Staff gestures were ok but it seemed to me like they offer the rooms based on the customer and who they book the hotel through. We were given a room with unclean carpet and bad beds. Location was great but at a tight spot because one time or the other you'd miss the right exit to the hotel. Convenient to the mall and restaurants etc. Easy to get onto I35.

Great location and not far from downtown.
