A great stay
Staff was friendly and greeted guests. Guest room was clean and comfortable as were the beds. Great pool. Breakfast could have a few more options.

La Quinta Inn AND Suites Austin Southwes
For the money, not a bad hotel. The location was SW Austin, great for my business meetings. The area was well lit and safe. Breakfast was mostly breads and cereals. TV was old tube-type. Internet was wired, but free. Staff was courteous. My only complaint was being placed on the half-smoking floor. There is no such thing as "half", but that's what it was, half the floor non-smoking, the other half smoking. My next trip, I will stay at my usual Holiday Inn Express, not much more money, not as good a location, but better tv, breakfast and internet.

There was no dining or shopping within walking distance and the maze of highways can be quite confusing as you search for places.

The "free" breakfast was just Tang, waffles, and little biscuits with sausages. Real juice would help and other real food. I've been spoiled by the Marriott bacon and eggs. And it's not free, it's part or the price.

Hidden Treasure
We came for a wedding. The service was friendly and warm from check-in to check-out. We used the fitness room and the swimming pool. Both were clean and provide a positive experience for us. We also had breakfast each morning. The food was fresh and appetizing. Our room was comfortable. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and we would come back in the future.

Crawfish Joe
Stay Elsewhere
We went to Austin to visit friends who were having a crawfish boil. We picked this hotel because it was closest to our friends house and had a 1pm check-in, which was great because our friends party started at 2pm. When we arrived at 1pm they had no rooms ready. They informed us it would be 20-25 minutes, it was an hour before we checked in at the front desk. Although they were not rude it just that we never even got so much as an apology for the delay. They must have been in a great hurry to get the rooms ready because the sheet was a full sheet turned sideways across our king size bed. There was also mold across the bottom of the shower curtain. We were on the top floor (5th), and the windows leaked very badly, any gust of wind howled through the cracks. We had the a/c set at the coldest setting and it truly never got cold but was comfortable. There are many other hotels in the area, and I would suggest trying them before staying here.
