We travel to Brownsville often for business and this is the first time we stayed at Courtyard and we will continue to stay there. I didn't realize that they served dinner and also had a "Happy Hour". Both breakfast and dinner were fine. The bathroom was larger than most and wireless worked perfectly. The location is perfect for going into Matamoros, the mall, many other resturants and back to airport.

Clean room, thats about it. Other Comfort Suites I stayed in have 24 hr complimentary coffee, cookies and have other toiletries incase you forget something, this one has nothing. We stayed 2 nights and didnt eat breakfast which is only served from 6:30 to 9:30. I asked where the closet bank or ATM would be and the girl was telling me to go about 3 miles away, when I walked out the fron door there was a bank right next door to them. The walls seem paper thin here, I heard everyone around us. We will not be staying here again..

Personnel were all great. All single bed rooms had king beds. (At 6'3", big plus for me!) Free breakfast was well more than adequate, and price was good for what we got.

The room was very clean, big and accomodating. They brought me a crib for my baby and it was great. I didn't have to worry about figuring out where my baby would sleep. I would higly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to South Texas!

Great price clean room friendly staff but saw plenty other motels same price same area better looking. Appreciated free breakfast concept but not everyone wants mexican breakfast buffet of breakfast tacos. Ice machine stayed broken drink machine not working either.

Our trip basically revolved around being on South Padre Island, however, we didn't want to pay SPI prices on hotels...Enter Rose Garden Inn. So, I have to admit at times I felt like Brownsville is kinda shady, but the hotel staff were very nice-when we arrived I had booked a non-smoking room online, and they had me in a smoking room, when I pointed this out the room was changed in seconds to accommodate. The room itself was very clean, nice and cool, and very quiet which was nice. Sure the rooms are a little outdated, but for the price you pay to crash for a night and only be about 25 minutes drive to the beach I think its a great bargain. I would stay again, and have already recommended it to other friends wanting a less expensive alternative to beach resorts but still getting a fantastic beach experience.

I was a little unsure at first glance, but the motel provided us with a great stay. It's a bit older but the bed was the best so far on our road trip. It was surprisingly quiet and the staff helpful. There was WiFi available and the other amenities were adequate.

I didn't expect much when i booked this hotel but wow was i impressed. Rooms were big and comfortable. TV had like a billion channels. Decent breakfast and also had dinner available with drinks (including beer and wine). Staff was ridiculously nice. Location was next to pretty much anything you'd need in Brownsville. Will definitely stay here again.

I understand that children will sometimes be staying in the hotels where I stay. That being said, they should be in their rooms and quiet at 11:00PM at night when I am trying to sleep. A patrol of the halls would have been great. It would have made my stay much more enjoyable.

Took my daughter to take the IBT test, right across the Expressway (Teacher Builder), the beds were comfortable, I thought it was all clean until I found facial hair in the bathroom basin and long dark hairs in the bathtub..not good, the pillows were more on the flat side, The following night we stayed in McAllen, near "La Plaza Mall" for the same money (this one included Continental Bkfst) and in a much better room ( at "La Quinta".)

Before crossing the border we needed a motel to spend the night.... this hotel was great. We had a good place to repack the car, do laundry, order in Pizza and that is just what we wanted. We got all that and more nice clean sheets.. good plumbing, quiet, and close to the border 3mi For a great price of $45 through [...], slightly more at the motel but great prices still. We will be staying there on our way back.

Value Place is an extended-stay hotel. Our rates are priced for a minimum one week stay, and are not adjusted to a daily rate if the stay is less than one week. When your stay goes into the next week, another weekly rate is charged. After an 11 hour drive there was no one at the front desk. They asked you to call from a phone inside the lobby. it took about 10 min. for someone to finally answer the phone. When he finally arrived he charges my credit card the wrong amount(double what i was qouted) and couldn't get my refund back until the manger got there.they asked me to come back 2 hours later. So after having to sleep in the car for 2 hours waiting for him i finally go back in to speak to the manager and he was about 30 min. late. when i asked for my refund he said "if i give you a refund you will not be able to stay here". I signed my paperwork for the refund and he tore it up in front of me. I do NOT recommed this hotel to anyone they are very rude to their customers.

We stayed in this hotel while on vacation visiting South Padre Island. The hotel itself was a bare-bones hotel, but you can purchase extra amenities if you would like. The room was somewhat trashy and dirty looking, as well as had a broken blind and an extremely hard bed. I had to go out and purchase a foam insert for the bed to be sleepable. The staff was not friendly, and ended up charging us for slightly using their towels. Due to wiping up a spill that could have easily been cleaned out, we lost $25. The hotel also charges an extra $100 for security deposit, which is refundable upon a clean room and no damage. It's up to you to decide on staying here, but I would not reccomend it.

Only thing is that they broke down the continental breakfast early on monday a national holiday, the day after christmas. The other thing is that the first time I stayed there you charge me $112 for two nights and this last time you charge $124 for two nights.

Noting special. Be prepared to pay for all extras!! i.e soap, internet. Good for the price and very CHEAP

I liked the location and staff. The motel was missing certain stuff, like an iron, blow dryer and maybe a coffee maker.
I stayed in alot of hotels, so didn't bring an iron, big mistake!!
The room smelled humid, all the time we were there, we had to open the window, to make it more confortable.

The hotel is located close to two movie theaters, the shopping mall, many dining choices and in close proximity to South Padre Island, Texas. Best value for the price!
