Holiday Inn CORPUS CHRISTI-EMERALD BEACH

I've stayed at this hotel for the last 4 yrs, same time every yr for MAYB. This will be the last time I ever stay at this hotel. Last yr, there was microwave, frig, and contintal breakfast. This yr nothing----rooms were not ready for ck in also. For what I paid I expected at least the same as last yr. Will never stay there or recommend to anyone else.

We loved our weekend!! The hotel is great! There is an big indoor pool and jacuzzi. The play area is great with ping pong tables, a playset like you see in McDonalds, a shuffleboard table. The hotel was fully booked but we the pool and beach were never overly crowded. Outside the beach is cleaned and "fluffed" every night. There is a bar just outside that had live music in the late afternoon. My only complaint is that our water pressure in the shower was low, but beside that it was perfect!! We will be coming back many more times!!

We arrived in the check in area and only had to wait approximately 2 minutes to get checked in and had our hotel keys in our hands. Our room was very clean especially the bathroom. This is a great place to bring a family with kids. The only down fall was that they were doing construction on the 2nd and 3rd floor on the south end. But hotels have to update to improve customers satisfaction. Great stay and a great price. Being right on the beach was awesome. I recommend this to anyone with a family.

We loved the room the. The tv and certain small little things were a little out dated but we had no problems with the room what so ever. We also had a nice view of the gulf. We loved the indoor play ground for the kids and the deck over looking the beach was awesome. The kids got the eat breakfast for free and we got the room that came with breakfast so we all ate for free.We drove to North Padre which was only about 15-20 minutes away everything was PERFECT.... the only thing was the beds could have been a little wider. Other then that staff was friendly. Hotel resturant was great and rooms we clean. Will definatly go back

My wife and I had a very relaxing time,enjoying the pool which over looked the bay.The hotel staff were friendly and helpful,specialy at the out door bar,the bar attendent had a very cheerful personality.We had a very nice weekend.

This was our favorite Corpus Christi hotel. We spent a lot of time here when our children were little and our children still as older teens looked forward to the Emerald Beach....until this time. This was such a dissapointment that our family will NOT return. The hotel was gross. It smelled awful, the beach was disgusting- full of garbage. It was an experience that really affected the whole family. I am so disappointed in the management of this hotel. They have ruined a wonderful resort.

This hotel had every thing a traveler would want

Have stayed at other Holiday Inns and this one needs some updating. Great indoor pool, great location and loved that it was right on the beach. However room was small,beds were small,no fridge or microwave. No view except of parking lot. Second day maid did not refil coffee supplies, or all the towels. At 9am awaken by workers on the roof. Enjoyed the walk on the beach and on Shoreline Dr. Would stay again only if given a better room.

I was looking for a place on the beach where I could relax. This hotel is on the beach, perfect, but so many families with lots of kids were there so relaxing on the beach not possible. However, the sun deck proved a perfect alternative & since it was very windy no sand in my drink, etc. The hotel's web site mentions the trolley, however, the staff were not aware that the trolley will take you over the bridge to the aquarium & the USS Lexington (fare .75). I picked them up a copy of this trolley schedule so this should not be a problem anymore. There are other shuttle routes to other attractions so it is a good idea to check into that your first day, if you don't have a car. The hotel shuttle will take you, when available, to most places downtown. The food I do not recommend. I ordered the shrimp tacos one night, the only night, I ate at the hotel. The worst meal I've had. What they call Spanish rice was white rice with a hint of plain old tomato sauce mixed in, no seasonings. The refried beans were equally bland. Do not order margaritas unless they get a new mix. I was just there, Aug18-22, 2010 & they had a new mix. It was way too sour! Not to be too negative the staff are friendly & helpful. I would stay at this hotel again.
