Dining

Pyramid Restaurant and Bar
The new Pyramid Restaurant & Bar's sleek contemporary decor is perfectly paired with exciting menus created by Executive Chef jW Foster. Since his 2007 arrival in Dallas from his native Canada, Chef Foster has focused on creating a "fresh market" approach to menus for both the restaurant and bar incorporating products that are organic, authentically local and sustainable. jW's personal culinary philosophy emphasizes fresh, local ingredients in an effort to minimize our carbon footprint on the planet and support the local economy. With his new menu for Pyramid Restaurant & Bar, he infuses classic dishes with modern twists while highlighting the wide range and variety of products available in the state of Texas. "We are dancing with classic dishes," says Foster, "not reinventing them. Many of the items on our Modern American menu are designed to evoke an emotional response or memory for our guests."
Starbucks
Coffee drinks, teas, other hot and cold beverages, and pastries. Indoor and outdoor seating.

10th Anniversary Getaway

The hotel is an older hotel but it has been kept up very well. The room didn't look like what it did in the picture online but overall we were extremely satisfied with our stay. We are Dallas natives and just wanted to have alone time without the kids. The location was perfect! Very close to Deep Ellum, Victory Park and also the West End. Recommend this hotel to everyone.

Parking at the hotel was $25 for the day so we drove ourselves to dinner and to the attractions nearby to avoid paying a taxi.

Fairmont Dallas

I had a very good experience at the Fairmont Dallas. I was only there for one night for business. However, the amenities were great, the bar was great, and when I needed an item I had forgotten, it was at my door in mere minutes from my call.

Nice hotel-mediocre staff

The hotel is lovely. Nice amenities, very clean. They even have an artist in residence so the art is very cool. For this level of hotel however, the staff was just ok. No one was overtly rude but no one was very nice or welcoming either. I was upgraded to a suite because of limited rooms and when they told me they seemed annoyed that I didn't opt to pay more for the 'regal lounge'. Also don't talk very loud in your room or someone may come and give you a 'first warning'.

Light dinner at bar is good and the restaurant is very good but a little pricey, as it is in most hotels.

very good, not great

room a joke...needed to upgrade to concierge level for decent room and b'fast and service. so upgraded rooms nice, concierge room was good, but it's not top tier...the workout room is weak (no spa or sauna) no attendant even.....but for the extra few $$ go big time to the big name classy hotel. it wasn't a dump, better than the standard chain.

You will be blown away!

You don't need to even think twice about taking a Gold Room at this Hotel. The staff will treat you like royalty and they are all truely sincer in their commitment to making your stay far beyond any expectations you have. I had no intentions of returning to Dallas for pleasure, but I will now.

good value for luxurious setting

Location best if doing business rather than tourism. Staff is friendly and helpful. Lobby is very nice as was my room. Dining best with room service, the restaurant in the lobby is more of a bar. There is a Starbucks that opens early but closes by 3pm. Wifi in room extra charge and TV fair reception with few premium channels. Purchasing a movie expensive.

A great experience but only for the Internet access!

Staff was awesome, food was great, prices were on par with what I've seen in other luxury hotels. But the Internet access was so broken (both wired and wireless) that I could not work from the room. I'm in IT, so this is like taking money away from a banker and expecting them to return value to their clients.

Beautiful Stay

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Fairmont as part of a romantic week. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the staff were all very polite and friendly. We didn't pay for the best room in the hotel but we still had a nicely appointed and spacious room with a nice view of Dallas. We will definitely be staying there again.
