Awesome hotel, the room was very nice. Maintenace was doing work and was woken up to drilling early one morning but that was the only complaint. No free breakfast was a let down but as a top hotel they can set their own rules.

Overall, very good stay. Very helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Door to the room could be sealed a little better. Large gap all the way around the door allowed for noise from the hallway; fortunately other guests were not noisy during the night.
Close to the TMC and right off a major freeway to get back and forth from the airport.
Plan to stay there again!

This was my second time staying at this hotel and it didn't disappoint. I needed a hotel near the U of H that had reasonable rates. This hotel had just that. Was less than 10 minutes away from the university and easy access to the main roads. The suite was fantastic; very roomy and comfortable. Will stay at this hotel again.
The hotel is on the outter edge of a good, safe area. Cross the tracks a few streets down and things begin to change. Either way, I didn't spend time in this area so it suited me just fine.

Large room with spacious dressing/bathroom area. Put our baby in a crib in the connected living room and spent the rest of the night in our room watching tv and on our laptop. Couch had a hide-a-way bed that we didnt use, and the couch itself was old and terribly uncomfortable. It didn't meet the standard of the rest of the room, but it didn't bother our stay. Easy to find, right off the freeway. Huge room at the price of other hotels single small rooms. Great deal overall, very pleased.

I checked in late, so they upgraded me to King room at no additional charge. The room was spacious and clean. It was well laid out without the cramped feel of many hotel rooms.
Because I only had a one night stay, arrived late and bolted out early to meet someone for breakfast I didn't have an opportunity to really find out about the hotel. What I did experience was pleasant.

Awesome! But concierge gave me a little trouble...

Stayed here for two nights during the holidays. Beautiful hotel! Checked in on Christmas Eve, but the concierge gave me trouble. She wasn't completely aware about my reservation information and didn't know the policy regarding age requirement to book a room. (I'm 20, she told me you have to be 21, but it clearly says on their website adults are 18+).
Otherwise comfy and beautiful rooms. Had a pretty view of all the lights out the window. Would definitely stay here again.

I always stay at this location since is 5 min away from my meetings, never had a reason not too. They are undergoing renovations in the lobby, i think is going to look pretty nice.. never heard a single noise from the room..

food was a little pricey but was very good. restaurant staff was very friendly. room was clean. one night the air vent started making a terrible noise that woke me up at 3:30am. I called the front desk, it took 30 min to send someone to check it. by the time they came it stopped. I still don't know what it was but it didn't happen again.

My two daughters and I stayed one night before a gymnastics competition. The room was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Didn't like having to pay for parking and the pool was very small.

The facilities are nice, but nothing fancy looking. However, they suited my needs perfectly. Comfortable bed, good workspace, handy little kitchen. I loved that breakfast and a light dinner are included. Although the food isn't great, it does the trick. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I think this was a very good deal for what was offered.

I enjoyed my stay at Aloft it is 1 blk from Galleria, walking distance. The staff was nice and helpful, my room clean and the hotel had a chic modern feel to it, different from other places. The free Internet and fairly inexpensive self parking (12.00 a day and I had two vehicles) was well worth they stay!

The room was clean and well-appointed; the cleaning staff was prompt and efficient; the desk clerks were friendly and helpful; the complementary breakfast was tasty - I love those Texas-shaped waffles - and, overall, my stay was pleasing, and I was well-satisfied.

Nice hotel, but bring your own breakfast

This is my second time staying at this hotel. During my last visit, about a year ago, the lobby was undergoing renovations. Now it is finished. Overall I was pleased, and here is a rundown.
PROS:
1. Well, the new lobby/lounge area is quite nice.
2. Amenities such as pool, exercise room, etc were well maintained.
3. The room was comfortable and staff was polite.
4. They offer free wireless internet.
CONS:
1. With the new lobby/lounge area, there is no free continental breakfast such as most hotels in this chain provide. Instead, there is Starbucks coffee and food may be paid for in cash or charged to the room.
2. The pool, though nice, is small. it is located in a central courtyard, which makes it secure, but also means that it is visible to half the rooms in the hotel.
3. Like most hotels, they do not offer SECURE internet access. All access to online services, gaming or business networks are over an unsecured wireless network, and therefore potentially open to prying eyes from any other hotel resident. (or even someone parked nearby with a wireless laptop.) I have this complaint about many hotels, and usually take my CLEAR cellular internet hotspot with me, however I was not able to get an adequate signal at this location.
Overall, I liked this hotel, but I may try to find a more secure location next time, and I would prefer one with a free continental breakfast for those days I don't feel like going out for breakfast.

I stayed at the Hilton for meetings at the Texas Medical Center and the BRC at Rice. Couldn't have been more convenient. Very nice accommodations; everything the business traveler could desire. With the main entrance on Travis instead of Main, it seems a little more disconnected from things than is really the case.

ASK if they charge for parking. This hotel charged eight bucks a night. Also be aware there are TWO crown plaza hotels; this one is farther north off Kirby near the SW fwy. The other one is south near the 610 loop. Otherwise, the room was lovely, the help was very friendly, and I got a great deal of work done in my room. I would recommend this hotel again.

This hotel was recently updated and looks great. Our balcony view on the 17th floor was incredible. The elevators are incredible. They are the most modern elevators that I have been on. You will receive an exclusive elevator to go directly to your floor. You will love it.

This hotel was fabulous. The rooms were very spacious and the 2-room bathroom felt very home-like. It's withing walking distance of the Galleria, other great shopping, and great restaurants & bars. One of the nicer big-city experiences I've had. The only complaint I would have is on that is all too common - thin walls (and unfortunately, rowdy neighbors).

I was in town on some quick business and didn't want to spring for the usual Hilton, Sheraton etc. The location of this hotel is great, right at 59 making it easyto ge where you need to be in town. The hotel was older yes, but was very clean and comfortable and the ac worked great. Breakfast was a little simple but sufficed. The customer service was excellent and staff very courteous. I arrived early and they made special efforts to get a room ready quickly for me. Would stay again if on a quick trip and a budget.
