Only for smokers...
This was the most horrid experience. My nonsmoking room smelled like an ashtray. I tried to call the front desk but the phone did not work. I also noticed at this point that there was no TV in the room. When I went to the front desk, they had closed for the night. I had to switch hotels at midnight due to the ininhabitable accomodations. I will never be back to this hotel. I would rather spend $100 more for an experience that was 1000 times better.

Fine price, fine hotel
Located near downtown Houston and especially in walking distance to the great mall "gallery" with excellent shopping-facilities, the hotel is recommendable to both busines people and couples. It is well equipped to prepare breakfast or other meals. We stayed only for one night, but it would be no probem, to stay for longer.

VACATION
THIS HOTEL WAS IN A VERY GOOD LOCATION. THE STAFF WERE NOT VERY HELPFUL AS TO WHERE TO GO EAT NEARBY. MAKE SURE YOU GOOGLE SOME RESTURANTS OR PLACES YOU WANT TO VISIT, WITH THE DIRECTIONS. I COULD OF SWORN THAT THE WEBSITE SAID INDOOR POOL(ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS WE WANTED TO STAY THERE), THERE WAS A POOL IN THE NEXT DOOR HOTEL WE COULD USE, AND IS WAS NOT INDOOR. ALSO THEY DO NOT OFFER FREE HOUSEKEEPING WHICH I THOUGHT WAS ODD. IT WAS AN EXTRA FEE. OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS AN ENJOYABLE STAY.

Checked in around 4PM. The check-in staff wasn't there and I had to wait a few minutes for someone to come. Pleasantly surprised by location and size of room. Check-in staff was hardly at the desk, so you might want to call ahead just to be sure that you don't wait a long time. Galleria was around the corner. What else could you want? Plenty of free parking was a huge plus.

Good value!
We had stayed in this hotel chain before and were satisfied. It has most amenities we could need. The only detail is that high speed internet is not complimentary which is not clarified in the hotel info (they charge an extra $5/day). Also, the heating system and refrigerator were kind of noisy in our room. Otherwise a good choice for budget travellers.

Weenend stay
very friendly & helpful staff, the best part. The room was clean, didn't see any signs of bed bugs, but was very plain no warm & fuzzy feelings. Only provided soap, no shampoo which I forgot. Did not provide anything for breakfast. Was there for a wedding, so didn't go out to eat on my own nor any "tourist things".
