The room was nice and clean the beds were very comfortable. It's was nice for an over night stay, and would stay here again.

This is an adequate hotel in a convenient location. A bit old, but the room size is ok. Nice staff.

We were looking for a cheaper option than the $200-300 a night downtown rooms yet still close enough to downtown attractions that we wouldn't spend our day fighting traffic. For that, I suppose we got exactly what we hoped for. The room was at least visibly clean, the bed was as comfortable as any, and the fridge/microwave worked fine for keeping our Texas sized leftovers from going to waste. Aside from that, this place was a bit of a disappointment, even compared to other La Quintas in the area. We were given a first floor room at the end of the hall without being asked for preference. Our non-smoking room smelled strongly of smoke and mildew, which is a REALLY unpleasant combination. My allergies were going nuts the whole time we were there. We had to turn down the AC and keep it running to keep the air circulating and the smell to a minimum, but the AC couldn't keep up in the hottest part of the day and running full blast got rather cold with the skimpy blankets provided. Breakfast was a letdown as well, as there were no hot breakfast items other than the DIY waffles. We had stayed at another La Quinta across town the night before and the breakfast included bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, biscuits, and scrambled eggs in addition to the cold options and waffles, so our expectations may have been a bit high. Thankfully, we had no issues with safety or noise and our stay was rather uneventful. Some improvements are needed to bring this up to par with the La Quinta brand, though.

Over the past 11 months II have stayed twice at the Greenway Plaza La Quinta Inn in Houston. Both times I was in Houston to visit a good friend who is in poor health and needed a reasonably priced hotel to stay in. This La Quinta Inn is just what you need when traveling on a budget, and it's conveniently located right near a major artery (Hwy 59) going through town so you can get to almost any place fairly easily. [Still, keep your GPS with you at all times, though that's has nothing to do with the hotel.] This trip I arrived very early in the morning and called to see if I might be able to have early check-in, and they were able to accommodate me. Throughout my stay the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room had a very comfortable king bed with lots of pillows - and for a nester like me, those are indispensable. They had a very good breakfast set-up with two waffle irons available, juices, cereals, milk, yogurt, muffins, toast, etc. Best of all - they had very good coffee! Another big plus in their column! As already stated this was my second time at this property and I have decided that it will be my hotel of choice for price, convenience, and quality of accommodation. Great staff and a nice environment.

I was in town on some quick business and didn't want to spring for the usual Hilton, Sheraton etc. The location of this hotel is great, right at 59 making it easyto ge where you need to be in town. The hotel was older yes, but was very clean and comfortable and the ac worked great. Breakfast was a little simple but sufficed. The customer service was excellent and staff very courteous. I arrived early and they made special efforts to get a room ready quickly for me. Would stay again if on a quick trip and a budget.

everything I needed for an overnight stay near the medical centers.

The stay was for business and met my needs for a room to follow daily seminars. The people at the desk were friendly and accomodating. The room was clean and freshly painted except for the bathroom door that was chipped and ugly at the bottom. I used the wireless hook up for my evening emails and found a traditional breakfast of waffles, hard boiled eggs and baegels, cereal,etc. to be okay but not great. I would stay there again for business but not for a weekend with my wife. For the price of 73.00 it was a very good value. Three stars.

This is a good hotel and for the price, I got much more than what I expected. The front desk staff was very nice and friendly, attended to my needs, and answered my many questions. The room was clean and I didn't have any issues. I even took a dip at the pool. For the money, you get much more. I would definitely stay here again.
