Omni Houston Hotel Westside

I chose the Omni for the weekend because it was close to where a family wedding was to take place. 5 of my relatives, including the bride, ended up reserving rooms also. I was upgraded to a very nice room on arrival. We asked the concierge to call us a taxi to go to dinner, but he insisted on taking us (and picking us up) in the courtesy van. The next day, he took the whole wedding party to and from the wedding venue. The staff was extremely helpful with all of our requests. The room was spacious and very clean. We would definitely stay there again.

Everything is perfect. One exception is the firmness of the mattress. I like my mattress extra firm so I gave the comfort rating only four star.

My experience was great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Hotel was Gorgeous.

I think hotels have every right to ban smoking in their establishment. For now, I still have the right to find another where smoking is allowed, and that is what I will be doing next time I'm visiting my rental property in Houston.

4-5 Star Frequenter. This Omni is packed with tons of neat things to entertain adults and kids alike, from the coi ponds (did NOT smell fishy) to the Bar. There is free parking and by the freeway near many things, but most likely there will be a toll charge along the way. I felt very safe with security/police around 24-7. They say there's bottled water in the room, but bring your own! They charge $6 a bottle. I'm picky so this just may be me, but they could have kept the place up a little better (vacuuming halls, general cleanliness). Its an older establishment but still nice. Staff was more than pleasent and helpful. They even allowed me to bring my Pocket Parrot with no hassle. That was surprising! I would definately stay here again and can't wait to bring my kids. Cool place, worth the price$.

The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The pool and hot tub are a little on the small side. it is best to rent a car if you plan on staying for an extended period of time. There is a complimentary shuttle service to take you into the downtown area.

Check-in was easy. Ample parking for rental cars. Nice bar and restaurant.

Awesome hotel, the room was very nice. Maintenace was doing work and was woken up to drilling early one morning but that was the only complaint. No free breakfast was a let down but as a top hotel they can set their own rules. Would stay there again.

I was only there for a couple of days but I had a good experience. The lobby was beautifully complemented by the fish pond, the staff was very friendly, and the food was great.
