The Forbes Four Star crown of San Antonio's River Walk exudes an oasis of calm. The property has 99 intimate, luxurious guestrooms and suites with 12 foot ceilings and expansive windows that offer views of the river. Accoutrements include marble Jacuzzi baths and four poster beds. Guest services are impeccable with personalized attention to every detail. These services and amenities have afforded the Mokara Hotel & Spa, formerly the Watermark Hotel & Spa, recognition from some of the nation's most acclaimed media, including a place among the nation's Top 15 Hotels in Conde Nast Traveler's coveted Best in the World list for two years in a row. Mokara Hotel and Spa

very warm and inviting lobby..boutique hotel with attentive staff. Offered us beverages as we were checking in.. fresh fruit brought to the room... fantastic spa for hotel guests. the rooms are large and well appointed.. the only disappointment is the old tube style t.v. still in use..should have been upgraded years ago. Gorgeous roof top pool with lounge area.

Nice place to stay near the Riverwalk

The Riverwalk was wonderful and it was nice to visit the downtown area. Once I got to the hotel I didn't want to leave with the car. I spent a great deal of gas trying to find the hotel. The hotel is on a one way street and it is in the middle of other streets.

Attentive staff, excellent service

When we arrived, we had an eighty minute massage which was just the way to start a beautiful mini-vacation. Despite the hot humid weather, the staff made sure we stayed hydrated by offering icy cold bottled water each time we left the hotel. We appreciated the bottled water at our bedside table each night also. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful memory.

Nicest hotel in San Antonio

My wife and I did a one night stay to celebrate our anniversary, and it was perfect. The rooms are beautiful, with really nice bathrooms as well. The separate jacuzzi bath and shower were great. The rates are pricey, but you get what you pay for. I thought it was worth the price.

Great Getaway

Arriving at the hotel we were created by the valet at the entrance. The luggage was unloaded and we were brought into the lobby for check in. The desk attendant was very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful lobby. We were also introduced to the concierge. Our room keys also were used to access the elevator to the various floors of rooms. Nice security feature. Halls nicely decorated. The room was nicely appointed, and quite lovely. Very minimal in color, but very pleasing to the eye. Small balcony that looked over the River Walk below, as well as some city views. It was suggested not to stay higher than the third level because of the view and that was good advice. Nice health club, very clean and orderly. We did not try the restaurant in the hotel, but the menu looked quite nice and tasty.

Great motel

Excellent stay, great pool on the roof although a little small with limited seating. Only complaint was no HD tv in the room to watch NCAA tourney. Bar and restaraunt were good. We would definitely book again. Loved how quiet the place was.

Extremely Overrated

This hotel is supposed to have a 5 star rating. I would give it 2. Upon entry, there is a small, unimpressive lobby. The rooms are clean at first glance. Don't flip over the pillows, though. We found huge bleach stains on them that were temporarily hidden. The blackout curtains didn't close all the way, so there was an annoying light shining in my face throughout the night. One of the main reasons we chose this particular hotel was the hot tub on the roof. When we went up there to use it, there was mold all over the surrounding pavement. The pictures on the website were obviously not recent. We tried to go in the hot tub anyways and the water was COLD!!! We called someone to take a look at it and they said they would be right up. 30 min later, no one had come. So much for the hot tub. This hotel is not worth the money you will spend. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Wish we had booked the Hilton.

Market Square. Restaurant named Mi Tierra for traditional food and mariachi music. The staff of Mi Tierra are there to make your time with them great. Use the trolleys to get around town.
