From the bad reviews I was afraid it would be a dump but I was surprised by the newly painted walls and the room was taken care of pretty well. I gave low rate for staff because they go away (lobby) - they actually shut the counter area totally and all you have is a phone to leave messages. one day my room did not get seviced and i called the staff to bing me towels but no one came or called me back. The next morning a lady came, made our bed, left towels but thought that the half little shampoo sample was enough for us... hehe... we managed. Now it is very well located and clean. I wish the bed was not so soft. The guy upstairs waljed very heavy but I guess they cannot control that. I would go back if I could not afford a $120 hotel again. As

Good stay
The room was fine . The only issue we had was that the stove did not work, so we had to cook in another room for one day. Never saw anyone at the front desk, only the cleaning lady.

Fantastic time
I would recommend the Carriage House. Room was clean and modern. 3 bus lines to The Canyons, Deer Valley and Park City were all 100 yds from the front door. The bus line also could take you to Main Street and the local Fresh Market. My only issue with Park City is that it's very expensive. Discount tickets to ski are only located in Salt Lake City (so very difficult to obtain...though I learned later that there is a bus line from Park City to SLC for ~$5...look into it). I will come back again, and likely at the Carriage House.

Strip mall down the street has an Einstein Bagels, Chinese take out and a great Mexican restaurant (very resonable $$$)! Plus a Subway and Taco Maker across the street.

Affordable and simple
We stayed in the 1-bedroom + kitchen which was great money saving for a familly of 4. While the bed was nice the sofa was a bit old. If you want sun in your room make sure you ask for a room not on 1st floor as it is below the ground level. Staff was nice and helpful.

Parking problems
I got a parking ticket while parked in the Condominium's parking lot, even though I had a proper parking permit issued by the condominium staff and displayed in my vehicle. The violation was "no overnight parking in the perimeter of the parking lot"; but this was not posted in any way, shap, or form. I made many calls but no one would admit to owning or managing the parking lot. Even though the condominium was good, it was enough to make me look for different lodging for next year's meeting.

Convenient & cozy place
We were pleased our experience at the Carriage House. We simply wanted a place to sleep after skiing all day and were not looking for anything fancy. We stayed in room 411. The decor was dated but we liked the king sized bed, kitchen, and large tub.

Boys snowsports weekend
This is our second season staying here, price is right and the location is very good - walking distance to restaurants, grocery and bus line. Park City Resort is minutes away by car if you're driving. You could hear the people upstairs walking around and we were close to the entrance, so a little noisy but manageable. The kitchen was a nice to have, the condition of the room was very good and the decor was nice and not dated/ugly. They even gave us a firelog to burn in the fireplace at check-in. Very friendly desk staff. Nothing too fancy, but we weren't there for the hotel and needed a place to crash that was convenient to the slopes. Carriage House fit the bill perfectly, will consider again for sure.

Einstein Bagels is perfect for a pre-slope breakfast and coffee, El Chubasco, the mexican place two doors down from that is also delicious and reasonably priced, but will be busy!

You don't need anything fancy if you are in a resort area since you are outdoors most of the time.
