Nice hotel; lack of management control

The days I stayed at this hotel, there was a junior hockey tournament in town. There were many children in the hotel. These children were mostly unsupervised with parents spending time visiting w/ friends and drinking. When I would get up early in the morning, the common area would be littered with empty beer bottles, glasses and litter. As I would go to bed early, around 9pm-10:30pm, children would be running down the halls w/out parental supervision. I called the hotel staff about this and discovered that housekeeping was not available until 7am and while the hotel staff was nice, did not do anything about the situation. Having said all of this, the hotel is in a greatl location and when not trashed, is very beautiful.

Good enough for one night

A college roommate and I spent last weekend in Burlington to celebrate her 25th birthday. Upon arrival the desk staff was very friendly and made check-in hassle free. We received directions to our room from the woman at the desk. As we walked down the hall (3:15PM) housekeeping was still cleaning rooms and were blocking the hallway and stairs we needed to pass through and walk up. No one bothered to move the giant laundry bins so we could get by so we struggled to squeeze through with all our bags while they watched. The room was clean, however we did have issues with the toilet. When the toilet was flushed everything would go down except the toilet paper. I used the shower during our stay and the water had a slightly dirty smell to it. There wasn't a fan in our bathroom and it appeared as though someone took a bite out of our bathroom door. We did have a hair dryer in our room. No complimentary breakfast which was disappointing. I thought the hotel would be close enough to be in walking distance to downtown, but it was too far to be walking in 30 degree weather (2+ miles). If this hotel were under $100.00 per night after taxes and fees it would be worth the value. I would probably stay somewhere else if I visit again.

The $30.00 upgrade was nice with the breakfast and lounge included. i would do that again.

Like I said , the upgrade made it easier for our family who had to get up early and drive to Stowe for ski racing. I would like to see the lounge breakfast served at 6:30 on weekends for that very reason.

A place to have one night good sleep prior to a departure.

The stay was comfort. The room was adequate. It was cleaned. It fullfil my expectancies. The hotel is near to the airport. It is a place to stay one night prior to the departure. It is not a place for a vacations. The swiming pool was awful. It was green. It needs a better care.

Very good experience

The only thing that was not totally wonderful was the fact that the toilets are low-flush (which I believe I asked for!). I'd never had those before, and found that they had to be flushed several times to actually do the job. But it was a small price to pay for saving water, I think.

Burlington Downtown

In the future I would stay further from downtown and pay less for a more remote hotel; there are ample public parking garages and if you are looking for a value, ponying up an extra $100 for the location is not worth it. Other than price, great rooms.

Definitely go to the pedestrian promenade on Church Street for dinner. So many places to choose from; nice relaxed atmosphere. Burlington is nice!
