beautiful building - great location

We took the train from the airport and it was a short walk from the exit. On our return to the airport the concierge connected us with a very reasonably priced limo service. The hotel is close to good restaurants, Mariner's Field, underground tours, Klondike Gold Rush Nat'l. Park, and a bit longer but nice walk to Pike Place Market. And it is in a recently restored historic building and historic area. The staff was welcoming and very friendly all through the stay. The room was short on view, but big and VERY clean and well appointed. It was totally restful and safe. The breakfast room was wonderful. I can't think of a thing I would want that they did not have. And it was well attended and very clean. We got a great rate and for that reason we were stunned at the value. When they call it Best Western PLUS they mean plus. I would, and do, intend to stay at the Best Western Plus Pioneer Square again.

Pioneer Square Hotel is an easy walk to Mariner's Field. Take the tour. It is well worth the nominal fee. Also a nice walk to Pike Place Market. Take 1st or 2nd st and come back along the harbor for a different experience.

What a great, historic hotel

The only negative thing I can say is that our fancy coffee maker in the room did not work. But my husband easily survived by having his morning coffee downstairs with the Continential breakfast. The rooms are clean and lovely. Our daughters' room was bigger than ours so if you need more room you can request a big room. I enjoyed the history of the hotel ( and how it was so close to Pioneer Square, the Underground Tour, several good restaurants, the harbor, and more shops and good restaurants, the Aquarium, antique stores, and a wonderful two story toy store). I enjoyed letting my imagination run wild as I wondered what sorts of exciting people had used the beautful wooden staircase in the hotel. (I thought this as I went down, I used the elevator to go up.) The staff was very helpful and attentive. If we return we will stay there again and I am recommending it to my friends. OH, good parking gargage too.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Always try to find a hotel that serves breakfast...you save a lot of $ on least 1 meal! Bring a collapsing cooler w/you & fill it w/drinks in case they don't have a refrigerator...they always have ice & you can bring the cooler w/you in the car!

Quick and pleasant check in.

Quick and pleasant check in. Large room, kingsize bed, free wifi. Large bathroom, powerful shower. However, room next to flyover, constant hum of traffic, not that bad but noticeable. Good location, walkable to Pike Market and Space Needle. Excellent breakfast, wide variety as much as you want. Quick, efficient check out. Not a modern hotel, looking a little worn around the edges, but would recommend at the right price.

Best Western Seattle

Once we actually FOUND the hotel, it was a very nice stay. The room was clean, housekeeping came by every night to ask if we needed more towels. The parking was a whole situation in itself, but the staff was very knowledgable about the surrounding parking areas and we parked public for two nights and then were able to get a spot in their garage for the last night. The continental breakfast was the best one I've had in a while. The hotel was a good location to go walking around downtown Seattle. The computer access was good too.

Try to arrange for the parking garage before you get there. Otherwise it's quite hectic.

Good value

Nice sized room. We went shopping and toured the underground city and Pike Place market and we walked everywhere as everything was within a few blocks. The continental breakfast was crowded and waffles were slow going as they only had one waffle maker (go early if you don't want to wait). Staff were friendly and helpful and provided umbrellas! Parking in their lot runs you $20/night, but after walking around we found several garages for $16/night. All in all a good experience.

Eat at Fishermans restaurant on the pier, same food as the crab pot and easier to get into during winter months.

Excellent, especially for the price

Great, very cute hotel and an awesome location. Bus terminal is close (2 blocks), Pike's Market was about 10-15 minute walk (along the water and through cute touristy stuff), and the Qwest Field was a 7 minute walk. The bar downstairs was very reasonably priced and there are a lot of food choices within immediate walking distance. It was by far cheaper than all other hotels in the neighborhood, and the complimentary breakfast was good too. Highly recommended, I would definitely stay there again. Parking is $20/day.

There is a Creole place that is right near where you park...I was so excited and it's very cute, but NOT AT ALL worth the money. The food was very marginal, especially for the price.
