The Edgewater, Seattle's only waterfront hotel, overlooks Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains, and is situated at the water's edge on Pier 67. Built in 1962 as a temporary structure for the World's Fair, The Edgewater has become a Seattle landmark and a beloved part of the city's history. The illuminated red rooftop "E" provides direction for ships navigating in Puget Sound. Directly over Elliott Bay, this unique location gives guests the access to waterfront shops & restaurants, Pike Place Market, the trendy Belltown neighborhood, the downtown financial district, Seattle Center - including the Space Needle, the Victoria Clipper, Washington State Ferries and the adjacent Myrtle Edwards Park -all within 5 minutes of the hotel. The Waterfront Street Car Bus operates from Pier 70 to Pioneer Square, offering free transportation along the waterfront. Recently renovated guest rooms feature redesigned guest bathrooms with garnet-colored walls and white beadboard wainscot; including amber quartz slate flooring, glass surround European spa showers, and white vessel sinks atop absolute black granite counters and stainless steel base. Like the Northwest, Six Seven offers distinct seasonal experiences. In the winter, diners relax fireside in the lounges overstuffed chairs. In summer months, the restaurant's bayside glass doors open wide, offering guests direct views of ships sailing Elliott Bay and exhilarating vistas of the Olympic mountains - the city's best alfresco meal setting. Guests enjoy cocktails at the glass-topped rough-split timber bar year round. Overnight parking $36.00 plus tax (total $43.20)

Edgewater Hotel (Seattle, WA)

The hotel was nice and the room was in good shape. Paid for a water view room and while it was on the water side it was looking at the building/facility next to the hotel (the room was closer to the street than out on the water). I don't think I would pay the extra for the water side again. I thought paying around $45 a night for parking was way to much also. Also there was no hot water for around 20 minutes on the morning we were checking out cause of a problem with the boiler. Would have rated it a 2.5 star if it was a option.

Romantic Getaway

The Edgewater Hotel was a wonderful place to spend a romantic getaway for my husband and myself. The atmosphere is incredible and the feeling that you are suspended over the water and can just sit on your deck and watch the ships go by is amazing. A holiday boat, complete with Christmas lights, came by to the delight of many. The staff was delightful and most helpful.

Great service!

This place had great location and the staff was amazing. The lobby and bar were so pretty. The room was a bit smaller than I thought from the online pic. I left my credit card at the bar and security called immediately to let me know they had it. Over all I would stay there again.

Edgewater

I have stayed at The Edgewater a couple times before and it has always been a good experience. I was disappointed this time. I book a king size bed on the water side of the hotel. Once I got to the hotel I was told that they could only guaratee the view and not the room ammenities. My girlfreind and I had to settle for two twins instead of the King size bed. It was quite the let down.

a little disappointed

We were excited about staying at the Edgewater, a Seattle icon. We actually had a great time, including dinner at the Six Seven restaurant which was excellent. What all three of us were disappointed in was how the room was decorated. The theme was a cabin type look, very casual. We had expected more modern. The beds were comfortable and I appreciated all the pillows! The bathroom was great except the lighting left a lot to be desired. And the light that came on automatically when you open the closet door was pretty awesome! Of course the view of Elliot Bay was incredible and we spent a few hours watching the boats coming and going. Glad we stayed there once. Not sure we would do it again.

Unique Hotel at the edge of sea

Good hotel to live in. Step out in the balcony, you can see the beautiful sea, bridges and ships. It is worthy to visit again.

Location rocks. Amenities suck

Location location location! Hotel is right on the pier and by the public market. Beautiful view from ocean front rooms. Parking is $35 a day which is ridiculous but the most outrageous is the charge for wifi. It costs $9.95 a day PER device. My family had 2 smart phones and an iPad and it was $9.95 a day . There should be a room rate or discount rate and the clerk merely said we should have more than wifi accessibility.

Cute and comfortable

The hotel was in a great area, very walkable. They also offer a little shuttle to in-town locations. The room was cute and comfortable. The only problem was that we had trouble shutting the heater off in the room and it was fairly loud outside our room.

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Sitka and Spruce is outrageously good and affordable. Great way to taste local food in a gourmet and homey fashion. Also check out some of the local speakeasies (need to call for reservations).

Great getaway, excellent restaurant but 4pm checkin?

I was super impressed by the dining experience (make sure you dress slightly more than casual) As long as you're not taking the staircases, every angle of this hotel is exquisite. My wife loved the in-room robes. If you have the opportunity, request for a Bay side room. It may be a little pricier but on a beautiful day, it can't be beat. And finally, if you're into the classics of Rock. They have a section of their lounge paying homage to Orbison, Zeppelin, Beach Boys, Beatles and all who is famous to rock that have stayed at the Edgewater in the past.

Birthday Weekend

I used a deal to spend my birthday in luxury. The waterfront view room was a must to watch the sunset and ferries. The shower was amazing and the bed was most comfortable. The fireplace provided heat and ambiance in a rustic styled room. Very clean and the staff and service were top notch. Even though I live in Seattle I look forward to my next stay the Edgewater!
