We spent 3 days prior to a cruise and one day after at the Tryp Apolo. There is a metro station right outside the hotel and 2 bus stops within a block. We were able to travel all over the city. We

Close to the port and shopping areas. Walking distance. Very nice rooms and in house breakfast and bar area. Restaurant and bar connected next door. Great maid service and room

The foot of La Rambla is only a 10-minute walk from the Tryp Apolo. Lots to see and watch. Public access restrooms are very scarce. Avoid the side streets after dark.
