The hotel was in an excellent location, directly across the street from a Metro (subway) station and just a few minutes walking-distance from the Eiffel Tower and an RER (commuter rail) station.

Actually, if one likes walking, there was LOTS to do within 1-2 miles. Plenty to see within 5-8 blocks. Hotel will call taxi. Many dining opportunities within a few blocks. Eiffel Tower within 5 blocks!
