Easy access to the metro as well as to busses and trains, assures that the Copenhagen Strand is easy to get to and from.
A 3 star hotel, the Copenhagen Strand is housed in one of the harbour fronts original warehouses, dating back to 1869. Among other things, it has been used as a paper and box factory. The old buildings have been beautifully and meticulously restored. It has a whitewashed facade with large windows. As one of the best budget focused hotels in the centre of town, Centrum is located only a five minute walk from Copenhagen Central Station, Tivoli Gardens, the main shopping street and the Town Hall Square. The location, which is formerly a red light district, has been cleaned up exceptionally well and is now a trendy area in which to live, with many bars, coffee shops and restaurants. DGI-Byen, Copenhagen's famous leisure centre is only five minutes away on foot.
