Soak up the culture in Barcelona!

Take my advice: if you want to come back feeling relaxed and enlightened, take a holiday in Barcelona. Step outside of your hotel in Barcelona and every day there’s a different beauty to behold: a ramble down the Ramblas, a trip round any one of the beautiful Gaudi buildings. A weekend in this city is a one-stop-shop to mental stimulation and spiritual relaxation – book a flight to Barcelona and experience it for yourself.

Get into Gaudi

Apart from its delicious food, great nightlife, beautiful weather and elegant inhabitants, Barcelona is best known for the beautiful Gaudi and Gaudi-inspired buildings that line its streets.

This truly original neo-Gothic architect – my favourite – revolutionised building. His most famous work, the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, is one of Europe’s most breathtaking spots. A must-see on any itinerary.

Where to rest your feet after a hard day’s sightseeing

In this sightseer’s paradise you’re spoilt for choice. You could consider the Gran Hotel Torre, where the spectacular 23rd floor dining room will allow you to see the city laid out before you in all its glory. Work up an appetite for when you’re there by taking advantage of the hotel’s gym and space facilities.

If you’re looking to unwind in a quiet atmosphere, try the Hilton Diagonal Mar Hotel, right next to the beach a fifteen-minute drive from the city centre. There’s an outdoor pool and an excellent restaurant – just perfect for you to unwind your batteries before you get out there in search of more culture.
