That’s amore!

Sadly, reports suggest that the water levels are rising, so you’d better book your holiday in Venice quickly, before it disappears underwater. It’s a city of romance and luxury, so why not make the most of it and book in to the sumptuous Hotel Danieli? It’s right in the city centre and boasts a luxury interior in a fourteenth-century palace, and private beach facilities.

Piazza San Marco

The most spectacular and famous of Venice’s sights is just steps from Hotel Danieli’s door, and it doesn’t disappoint. The grandiose architecture from the fifteenth, sixteenth and seventeenth centuries leave you breathless in admiration.

In the square you’ll find the Procuratie Vecchie, the Church of San Marco and the Museo Correr. It used to be a busy commercial hub and it’s easy to imagine what it was like being there 400 years ago as a Venetian artisan plying your trade.

The Bridge of Sighs

Another world-famous landmark just a hop, skip and jump away from Hotel Danieli is the white limestone Bridge of Sighs. Pass underneath on a romantic gondola trip for a truly Venetian experience.

The haunting name was given to it by Romantic poet Lord Byron. He imagined the feelings that convicts would have felt taking one last lingering look at beautiful Venice before being imprisoned in neighbouring Doge’s Palace.
