| News Virgin Atlantic to operate domestic flights in 2013 Since Virgin Atlantic was awarded all Heathrow short haul remedy slots available following the International Airline Group’s acquisition of bmi, they have announced their plans to start flying from Manchester, Edinburgh and Aberdeen next year. More details to be confirmed soon. A slice of Manhattan…in Newark Virgin Atlantic’s Clubhouse is now open for business at Newark Liberty International Airport. Located in a new airside location, just a one minute walk from the departure gate, this new Clubhouse draws on the artistic, social and trendsetting flair of Downtown Manhattan’s neighbourhood coffee shops, secret restaurants and chic bars. Five down, two to go. Our Gatwick 747 Flying Ladies G-VROS aka English Rose and G-VGAL aka Jersey Girl are now back in service, that's five down, two to go. They've been away on a bit of a spa break, and are looking even better than ever, with brand new seats in Economy and Premium Economy, refreshed Upper Class Suites and a shiny new touchscreen inflight entertainment system in every class. They're the fourth and fifth of seven aircraft to be given a complete revamp. Three times daily from London Heathrow to Manchester We’re happy to announce our forthcoming plans to fly domestic services from London Heathrow to Manchester Airport from March 2013. This new route is the first time we’ve flown domestically within the UK, signalling the start of a new network providing us with a regional feed for our long haul services, as well as a much needed choice for passengers flying between the two cities. Premium Economy meal service Hot on the heels of our new Upper Class and Economy meal experiences, we’ve now launched an upgraded Premium Economy meal service. We’ve stuck with all the favourite bits, and added a few magical touches to make your journey even better. Even more Montego Bay Our passengers love the sun, sand and fun of Montego Bay, so much so that we’re adding a third weekly flight from London Gatwick. From 3 November, passengers will be able to enjoy a new Friday flight to Montego Bay, adding to our existing Wednesday and Sunday departures. We’re returning to Mumbai We’re delighted to announce we’ll be returning to Mumbai on 28 October 2012 with a new daily flight from London Heathrow. Our new A330 aircraft will be operating the flight, offering our best customer experience. Four flights a day to JFK On 28 October, we’re launching a fourth daily service from London Heathrow to New York JFK. The extra service is part of our £100 million investment in our products and services, which has included the launch of our new Upper Class Suite and a brand new Clubhouse at JFK airport. There’s never been a better way to fly to New York Introducing our new Upper Class Suite The first A330 aircraft with our new Upper Class Suite is now flying on VS003/004 to and from New York JFK. It features the longest fully flat bed in business class, a new super recline seat, and a futuristic onboard bar. We’re such good sports It don’t mean a thing if you ain’t got that swing, which is why Virgin Atlantic lets you take 23kg of sports equipment free of charge, in addition to our already generous baggage allowance. The new airside space at Terminal 4, A Wing, is more than double the space of the previous Clubhouse. We're Ghana fly to Accra five days a week From 26 March 2012, we're flying to Accra five days a week. Now flying Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, our flight VS657 leaves London Heathrow at 22:45, arriving into Accra bright and early at 05:00. New second service to San Francisco We've increased the number of flights to San Francisco, with additional services on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The first new flight took to the skies on 26 March 2012. New Economy and Upper Class meal services The dining experience is an important part of any traveller's journey, and we've just launched brand new innovative dining options in both our Economy and Upper Class cabins.
