Airport stopover

Reception staff are very efficient and friendliest we have encountered on our travels. Meal in the evening was lovely but breakfast could have been better.

handy for the airport

I stayed at the Speedbird the night before I flew down to London and again on the night of my return one week later. The big bonus of the Speedbird is its proximity to the airport. You do pay for the privilege unless you can pick up a deal online. The airport bus (727) picks you up from arrivals and drops you off almost at the door. Nothing remarkable, the rooms and reception areas are clean and comfortable and the staff welcoming and friendly. I had to knock off a point for the fire alarm which went off twice during my first evening and we had to assemble in the car park. Eventually we were 'upgraded' to another block whilst the troublesome alarm was attended to.

Pre-Offshore Stay

Stayed at this hotel numerous times but this time hotel was extremely busy due to fog delayed guests. Restaurant/Bar very busy and delays in getting served & food coming out from kitchen (was told there would be a delay but 45 minutes for Nachos.....mmm a bit long). That aside a comfortable stay with pleasant and curteous staff.
