Very central. Obviously has been a nice hotel in it's hey day but is a bit outdated now. Not dirty but lack of attention to detail - dirty glasses sitting in windowsill for a day, lace curtains and bed valance not really very clean to look at. Not

Nice hotel in very central location

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Lower or remove car park charges for guests.
Location: Very central with good restaurants nearby.I was very impressed by Chaophraya (Thai ) and Monsoona (Indian )
The hotel is nice and the staff are friendly. My main gripe is they charged me £40 for keeping my car in their car park over 4 days. This is signed in the car park but you have little choice but to use their car park due to the hotels location.

Dear Liam, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent stay at Mercure Aberdeen Caledonian Hotel. I was delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay with us especially the friendliness of the staff. In relation to the car park charges this is displayed on all of our websites however I do apoligise that you found the cost steep. Once again thank you for your comments and I hope to welcome you back to the hotel in the near future. Yours Sincerely Tina Canale-Dow Hotel Manager

Flying visit to Aberdeen

Found the hotel to be located just perfect for our stay within easy walking to all amenities, the hotel itself has a private car park at the rear which is locked overnight which is great for peace of mind but Aberdeen is renowned for its seagulls and I noticed one occupants car looked almost like an igloo curtsey of the guls. The hotel itself is clean and well run although we found the room a little to warm there's no aircon but it is an old hotel but don't be put off by this it's an all-round great hotel, breakfast was ample with a great selection of hot and cold foods but the tea wasn't up to much but I expect if you asked for a pot it would be better, overall I'd say it scores a 4.5 out of 5 and if definitely stay there again

Quest 3 Ball

A very comfortable Hotel that exceeds our expectations. Hotel is in centre of Aberdeen and all in walking distance to various places. Six of us stayed for 3 nights and would recommended this Hotel for any breaks.

Ok for a drunken holiday

We were underwhelmed by our experience at this hotel. On the positive side, we found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and polite, especially those working at breakfast, Ana and Pedro. There was a good selection for breakfast; vegetarians are catered for well. The hotel is in a good location with limited parking. However, rooms are quite basic. The bed was small in comparison to other 4star places we have stayed. The shower/bath is not to everyone's taste. The curtain tends to stick to your skin. The safe didn't work while we were there...a previous guest had forgotten to leave it open but staff should have checked this and put it right before we arrived. There was a small selection of teas. Placement of the TV in the room should be given further thought...perhaps attach it to the wall opposite the bed so both guests can see it. We found that it was in an awkward position. At night, light comes into the room despite the drapes being pulled across. This makes it difficult to sleep. We ordered dinner the night we arrived and were disappointed that it was cold in parts so we didn't leave a tip! It is extremely noisy with the sound of the gulls, traffic, emptying bottles etc. but that is what you get with a city centre location.
