Frequently use this hotel for business however on this occasion it was a family visit, it was really disappointing. Staff did not seem friendly or as helpful as normal especially in the spa, the hot tub was under repair and so was out of use. (not a huge problem) However I was most disappointed when my daughter and i arrived at the pool at 11:30am just after our breakfast and were refused entry to the pool as we were checking out on that day. Normally i use this hotel for work so it’s never normally an issue however to be charged an additional £10 per person for being 30mins “late” to use the facilities left me feeling pretty hard done by. Especially when i has promised some time in the pool to my daughter. Anyway we paid the extra fee for being 30mins “late” to the pool. Normally we have the choice between the village and Atlens, we like the vibe of the Atlens however for a family trip i would always opt for a hotel that accommodates families and on the past experience the Atlens is not that hotel! fine for business but a family stay over i would recommend elsewhere. It’s a real shame because i normally really enjoy staying here however for the next family trip we will be staying elsewhere.

We are sorry it was not explained properly to you before regarding times the pool can be used. Our standard checkout time is 11am. We do hope you stay with us again with your family in the future.

Had a great night away with my 9 year old son, nice clean but basic room, good shower, comfortable bed. Pool, Steam Room etc were clean and just what we wanted - pretty busy though! Breakfast was fantastic, would definitely stay again.

great stay again. comfortable hotel with nice facilities, staff really helpful. The Christmas tree in the lobby was super nice.

Easy check in, nice rooms and restaurant really nice. the pool is small but a great hotel pool it has everything you need

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. I had booked a twin room for me and my mother for a couple of nights. As my mother struggles to climb into baths, I had asked if it was possible to have a walk in shower if possible in the requests section when booking. I recieved a message from the hotel to say that they were sorry but they didnt have any twin rooms with walk in showers. We were delighted on arrival to find we had been upgraded to an assessable room with 2 double beds and a wet room. Beds were very comfortable and everything was nice and clean. The staff were all very nice too. The height of the chairs in the lounge bar were comfortable but a little low for eating. But we managed and the food was excellent .Very enjoyable stay
