Hotel is very good value for money Rooms are pretty good - very nice bathrooms. Staff at reception very pleasant and helpful. Understandable that the staffing is not full as hotel capacity is reduced - so just be aware that it’s self parking. My only real criticism is that (both) the rooms I’ve had smell of stale smoke - I think the carpets could do with a deep clean. Aside from that a very nice stay !

Good location, relaxing,

Good location, excellent food, relaxing ambience. Staff could not do enough for you. House cleaning excellent and very helpful. The nearby souk has 2 excellent coffee shops overlooking the inland waterway..beach very well designed.. and shaded walk from hotel to souk winding along beach edge. Would absolutely stay again. Have recommended to friends.

Lovely relaxing family holiday

This is our second time at this hotel and we will return. The staff are lovely, the hotel is very clean, the food is great. We stayed Club so that we could have our breakfast in the upstairs lounge. We find this particularly good because you can help yourself to drinks both hot and cold throughout the day and have use of the free drink and food between 6 - 8pm. it makes for a much more relaxed holiday than having to use the main dining room especially for breakfast and the views are terrific. The view from the beach across to the Ritz Carlton is particularly stunning by night and sitting outside on the terrace is something we enjoyed every evening. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they are very upset if you find anything wrong and they aim to improve it straight away. We did have a few difficulties to start with but these were ironed out. We had been held up in security for several hours on arrival and didn't arrive until late at night. One of our party rooms was not a Club room as booked and this was not explained to us. Because we arrived late the rooms had all gone. If there had have been an explanation we would have been more understanding. However, once we pointed this out every effort was made to move our party members into another room the following day with much apology and a large bowl of fruit to say sorry. I did notice that we no longer received fruit as standard in our rooms as we had done 18 months previously and that a rose was no longer placed in the bathroom. These were little touches that I missed. However, more beds and shades had been placed on the beach which improved the beach experience. I will return as we loved the fact that the hotel had a small and friendly feel to it. Its part of the Shangri La Group which had hotels along the same beach front. It meant you could walk through lovely gardens along the sea front to the Shangri La Hotel which had lovely Souk style shops and plenty of bars and eating placed including sandwich bars and burger place to suit al needs. We often wandered down to look around the shops and have a lunchtime snack. The Left Bank bar was lovely to sit outside at night to enjoy a view across to the Grand Mosque which looks stunning at night. We did a lot of sight seeing around Abu Dhabi City, Yaz Island and Dubai, the taxis are so cheap you can go everywhere for minimal cost. I would recommend this hotel and holiday to everyone.

Desert Jewel

Superb short stay on way to Kuala Lumpur. Was impressed with advice and upgraded on arrival. Very friendly and welcoming staff great choice of food and breakfast over the beach a must. Shuttle bus provided to the Grand Mosque which is magnificent and to the city centre shopping Malls. Was delighted with the choice and highly recommended.
