Convenient location with helpful staff

Pros: Room was very spacious and staff were very helpful and friendly
Cons: The beds aren't very comfy, also the locks on the doors were quite difficult to get the hang of
Location: Convenient location on the M1 - we attended an event at Codnor Castle nearby (only a 20 minute drive away)
Stayed here with my partner, my sister and a friend as we needed a hotel close to an event we were attending nearby - the hotel was in a very handy location for us. Our room had plenty of space to accommodate 4 people. I was impressed that they had provided us with an ample amount of proper beds for the amount of people, rather than sofa beds, which was a pleasant surprise. In terms of parking etc this was easy to do by just entering our reg at reception. I was also impressed by the staff who were very helpful - the woman who checked us in was very friendly and polite - which is always welcome after a long journey. Due to a mixup, I ended up being charged twice for our room - however when we explained this to staff they were very helpful and the manager issued me with a full refund the next day. In terms of negatives, the only thing I would say is that the beds weren't very comfy - so I wouldn't suggest staying here for an extended amount of time - probably 2/3 days max. Also, the locks on the doors were quite difficult to get the hang of and there were multiple guests as well as us who we saw in the corridors struggling to lock their doors. Overall, I was very impressed with the hotel for such a reasonable price - convenient location, clean rooms and friendly staff.

The doorstep to peak district

No sign to the hotel after the exit of motorway. A bit noisy from the water pipeline

Good Hotel with excellent staff

This is a budget hotel, but I was made to feel very welcome at reception. The room was the standard type of room, but it was clean and had ample space with a good size bathroom. I was pleased to find good sized and good quality towels as this is something that annoys me with some other budget hotels.

Once again we received a warm welcome.

We stayed at the hotel whilst attending a Golden wedding and visit family. We are always cosy here and always receive a warm welcome including our well behaved labrador retriever Days Inn charge £10 a night which is a fair price to cover the cost of cleaning. The hotel is very handy to visit all our family that live close by. The quieter rooms are actually on the front as there is a motor of some sort around the back that is quite noisy. Apart from the odd window that you cannot shut properly or close the vent I have no problems with the rooms, very clean and warm with everything you need. The staff are very nice and friendly and helpful.

Great value

Get what you pay for! Decent shower, comfy bed, quiet even though close to the M1. Friendly helpful staff. Its not five star but its not five star prices!
