Stayed before and would recommend to others.2 great restaurants and bar.Nice rooms everything you need. Only downside was that unlike our last visit photo id was.required to check in even for uk guests.I didnt have any so had to use my sons who had same surname and whose name was on one of the 3 rooms.In 40 years of travel have never given photo id in a uk property many at airports or big citys like London.

Thank you for your feedback. Our Hotel does require a photo ID at the time of the check--in. It is a local hotel policy and it is only for security purposes. I do understand how it can be frustrating. We have advertised it on all our platforms for the guests to be prepared before their stay.

Very nice post refurb although staff have a lack of engagement with the staff. No one on reception at checkout which was strange for a large hotel chain such as Marriott . Shuttle service was hit and miss collection from airport was a disaster whilst drop off was excellent. Overall satisfied with the stay.

It's 'ok'. Great staff, restaurant and service, but, having stayed at a fair few Marriotts, I sense the buildings were not always a purpose built 4* hotel - The place is a bit of a maze, the rooms are clean and nice decor, but the bathrooms are small with tiny baths (that are very slippy) and have after-thought safety hand rails that restrict the shower space significantly. Parking costs you per day if you can find a space near the hotel (it is used for long stay as well). Hotel restaurant was really nice and the food was really good. Was a bit miffed to be charged £5 for bread and olives appetiser though. Was really impressed to see restaurant manager check all room service orders before dispatch (as kitchen is open plan to restaurant). Not sure about the attached Italian restaurant San carlo - seems a bit bling and getting poor reviews so we passed on it. As said, it is 'ok', with excellent staff and certainly can be good value if you get a good price. We used it with the kids as they had a great pool/spa and we needed to stay 2 nights for a function in town and all hotels were booked up. This hotel is obviously geared to those just staying one night as they travel, not for long stay tourists visiting Manchester, and that it is fine. Finally, an important tip : Make sure you book the hotel airport shuttle asap as, in the mornings, it only runs every 45 mins and can get booked up.

Room good , layout confusing

Room bed very good, hotel configuration poor . Waiting staff poor attitude and struggle with temporary restaurant whilst refurbishment ongoing.

Nice hotel with excessive parking charges

Considering this is an airport hotel they do not offer breakfast before 7am at the weekend which wasn't convenient before my 6:25am flight. Very expensive for parking considering the distance from the airport.

Hotel quite far from airport- £14 taxi

Hotel is nice, a maze inside so listening carefully to directions! Breakfast is very nice, pool area is lovely and rooms are a good size. It's a shame it's so far from the station/ airport. We were using it as a base to go Christmas shopping in the city but the extra taxi costs to/ from the station made it very expensive.
