Liked all aspects except 30 step staircase. Lift badly needed.

Terrible state of room. When we checked in the toilet flush was hanging off the wall with bare wires. Had to wait for it to be fixed so had no Covid awareness with maintenance man in room. Told no other rooms available! Then after going back into room after one flush was broken again! Manager very rude no compensation offered other than a glass of wine! Extremely poor management. Won’t return. On a positive note the food was very good and the other staff very friendly.

Mini-moon two nighter

I had not been to Grasmere or stayed at the Rothay Garden Hotel before but I will definitely be staying there again and recommending others to do the same. The location was great, the hotel is very stylish and the staff were very accommodating. Service was exemplary and my wife and I had a wonderful experience here.
