Location is all here. Amazing spot in quiet and safe area. Pleasing bar and 24/7 room service. Not a smooth check in as my booking couldn’t be found and the receptionist non-apologetic. Room clean and bed comfortable. Tiny bed and shower though even for a single. Some marks on the bedding although well laundered. Little details.

Nice area to stay

Pros: The area it was situated in was nice and quiet, staff friendly and helpful.
Cons: The shower could be improved,
Location: the hotel is in a very nice street very near to museums, ideal for a canal boat tour round Amsterdam
I found the hotel to be in a nice quiet area, very close to all the museums I wanted to see. The bed was comfortable with a lovely pillow. There were plenty of facilities in the room, television, fridge, kettle, coffee and tea making equipement. The room I found to be a bit small, the shower was on a rail you coud only raise to about four foot high! the main shower head in the ceiling not working.I would not give the hotel a four star rating,I think a three star rating would be about right

Hotel in good location close to museums and parks

Pros: Good location close to all amenities
Cons: A self service coffee|tea bar would be a good addition for those out of hours moments.
The hotel is quite traditional . The staff are always helpful and courteous The small garden at the rear is peaceful and well maintained and is ideal for tea|coffee and drinks. The standard rooms are on the small side and would not be suitable for people with mobility difficulties. Rooms are welll cleaned every day and are well stocked with bathroom items. The room fridge is well stocked but is on the expensive side. On checking out the hotel insisted that I pay city taxes and energy fees which according to our booking receipt were included in the price. I will be questioning ebookers for clarification on this issue.

Perfect for the 3 main art galleries - Rijksmuseum, modern art and Van Gogh..

My only complaint is that breakfast is expensive, as a result we did not have it at the hotel.

A Week in Amsterdam

Superb location right next to the 'Big 3' museums. The staff were unfailingly polite and helpful and recommended an excellent Indonesian restaurant for our first night. When we wanted to eat Chinese reception was honest enough to admit that they did not know of anything local and were happy when we returned later that night with a card from an excellent restaurant we had located in the area. The only complaint I would raise would be the price of €5 for the bottle of water in the room. Yes it was not compulsory but on your first night you are not looking for local supermarkets so I felt they were taking advantage.. Otherwise I could find nothing else to fault and must give the staff top marks.

excellent long weekend

Chose this hotel at random for the Keukenhof flower Parade weekend & couldn't have made a better choice. A few minutes over the road from the Rijksmuseum in lovely leafy quiet road. On the main 2/5 tram route & 197 stop to/from Schipol airport. Hotel staff very helpful, informative & very courteous. Room was immaculately clean & we had a marvelous week. Will definitely stay here again.
