It was a nice hotel close to the city centre which was a bonus, I got put into the room on level -1 whereas the people I’d travelled to meet and spend my time with were on the top floor. It wasn’t the nicest hotel but it covered all the basis it was clean the cleaning staff were very friendly and the breakfast was fine. The only minus is that -1 my room was so close to the street that I could hear everyone outside talking and I felt a little bit like I was in a dungeon BUT I would stay again obviously in a higher up room. Reception staff were lovely and helpful and the lady that worked at the breakfast was so nice and always making sure things didn’t run out overall it was a pleasant stay

Good location for the price

The hotel was only two short tram stops away from the centre which was very convenient considering the price. The hotel is fine for one of two nights. The twin room was very small and the bathroom was tidy. Room cleanliness was great. Hotel staff were ok.

you pay for what you get

Pros: It was clean and the room spacious
Cons: I'm not sure what could be improved without increasing the nightly tariff
Location: The hotel is near one of the most expensive street in Amsterdam. Shops like Gucci, Dior, Burberry etc. are minutes away
Amsterdam is an expensive city especially if you're coming from the UK. Furthermore, accommodation can be very expensive depending on your expectations, location and facilities. This is a budget hotel with no bells and whistles and you pay for what you get don't expect meals, bars, swimming pools or saunas this is as good as it gets for the money. We booked a quadruple room and although it was a basement room it was clean and surprisingly spacious. We travelled to Amsterdam for the weekend so it suited our needs. However, I'm not sure I would stay there for longer than the weekend. The hotel is situated in quite a nice area and is next to the park. But be warned it's a good 30 minute walk into the centre so be prepared for the walk or get an Uber for around 10 euro. In fairness, the hotel suited our needs which were bags in, a shower and somewhere to rest our heads.

Over-priced and lacking amenities

The hotel is in a good location for Amsterdam museums particularly and close to trams and buses to everywhere else. In my opinion it doesn't have amenities worthy of three stars-no minibar or catering in the hotel-or indeed much in the way of nearby shops for provisions or cafes and restaurants its a very quiet area. The rooms are in need of renovation and the one on my first night was very small. The bathrooms are cramped and the only products for use by guests are soap/shampoo wall-dispensers by sink and shower. Towels are small and scratchy. I had to swap rooms after one night (of a two-night stay) as the single beds in a twin room (I booked a double but got allocated a twin) were incredibly uncomfortable-completely destroyed mattresses that collapsed as you sat on them and gave me mild back ache for the following day. Breakfast buffet was fine but no difference between a continental breakfast and the breakfast buffet despite there being two different prices available on line for the two options-so go for the cheaper continental breakfast option!.

Good value for money rude staff

The hotel is in a fairly good location, around 15 mins on a tram to central or 30 min walk *tip- get tram 5 or 2 from central station or Dam square and get off at van gough museum the hotel is a few mins from the bus stop also you can get 197 tram straight to or from the hotel to the airport it's around 17euros for a 3 day bus and tram pass.. The hotel room is TINY and the bed is way too soft however I would stay again it's great value for money and a good location but the staff were very u unhelpful and rude! I didn't have breakfast so I couldn't comment on that but I would recommend this hotel for a short stay only and if ur not planning to spend long periods of time in ur room. Wifi was okay when you could figure out which out of 14 of their wifi is the correct one!

l’hôtel est bien placé dans une rue calme, à côté des principaux musées pour ceux qui souhaitent visiter et sans être trop éloigné du centre ville. Le personnel est souriant, accueillant et parle bien anglais. Les chambres sont cependant très exiguës et il ne faut pas se fier aux photos lors de la réservation. Certains services comme le frigo, internet et l’ascenseur étaient défectueux. Le rapport qualité prix n'est donc pas totalement au rendez-vous.
