Close to central Amsterdam.

This was my first trip to Amsterdam, I went with a friend. We could not of been looked after any better, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and quiet, it is also very central to everything. We would definitely stay at the Iron horse again.

Friendly & mainly efficient service

Pros: Friendly helpful staff, a good standard of cleanliness and facilities with the exception of the unacceptable level of noise from the air conditionng
Cons: see above
Location: excellent location with good access to the important places of interest
The only major problem was the lack of an appropriate response to my complaint about the noisy air conditioning unit in Room 209 which was dealt with by simply switching off the air conditioning. Hardly an appropriate response since the room has no access to outside windows to allow an alternative to using the air conditioning! The result was 4 nights of sleep disturbed by a continuous drone of the air conditioning system.

Is what it is!

The staff are excellent absolutely no complaints they were fantastic and helpful. The room however was small, and not very well ventilated, the ensuite was what was expected and the shower was fantastic! Free tea and coffee which saved us a lot of money but the corridors/stairs can be quite noisy with doors slamming

Lovely and cheap!

It was exactly what I paid for, basic and clean! The location was brilliant, walking distance from everything I wanted to see and even the further away I wanted to go teams were close and awesome! Really enjoyed the stay and the staff were extremely nice and helpful! Loved the hotel very much!

Great weekend stay in Amsterdam

It's a first doing a review for anything. But because I found the advice on here helpful in my choosing accommodation, I thought I'd return the favour. The hotel is value for money, if I had paid more than I did (around 100 euros for 2 nights) I would have had reason to complain. The room was clean sauf for the very dirty towels that were left in my bathroom. It was comfortable, nice shower room, good room temperature, friendly and helpful staff. If you don't like a wall for a view, request not to be put in room 202. Bond with your horse and Enjoy Amsterdam!

Brilliant value

Great location in the museum quarter about a 20 minute walk from the central station. No idea why the Hotel charges so little for its rooms as ours was a good size with 2 large single beds pushed together & a beautiful bathroom too. Will stay again. Great free coffee machine in lobby too as well as having a kettle in the room.

Joskin huoneen koko kannattaa tarkistaa etukäteen (eri kokoisia huoneita=eri hinta).
