The male staff I met the first I checked I. was very helpful but the female staff I met on my my last day 31/08/18 was very rude and unprofessional, she needs to be sacked or retrained. The hotel location was ok and the domestic/room cleaners were fantastic

A hotel with great potential in a perfect location

Pros: Location
Cons: Breakfast.there wasn't a lot of choice & i had to use a plastic cup for my coffee.its put on by the restaurant downstairs not the hotel.more towels
Location: dam square 2 min walk,centraal station 5 mins walk,red light district & china town 10 min walk.public transport easy to use & plenty of great shops
Friendly staff and a hotel in a fantastic position. This was our 3rd visit this year & wanted to be around dam square again so was pleased at the price of this hotel.the hotel is being renovated so pictures on the website are not up to date. We were given a new room with a view of the Main Street that was nicely done (LOVED the Amsterdam wallpaper)but it was very small!!my husband felt like a crab walking around the room!the Windows didn't open but there was an air con.the ensuite was again finished nicely but again,was small.despite being on the Main Street (they had a Christmas fair on dam square during our stay,that went on until past midnight) it was really quiet.the only noise was the squeaky doors of people coming & going from their rooms.there is no lift so be warned the stairs are steep but that's Amsterdam!

Sehr gute Lage, immer eine Ansprechperson da, konnten Gepäck noch stehen lassen am Abreisetag. Keine Kleiderhaken im Zimmer, ein Spiegel im Zimmer wäre praktisch

Les draps n'étaient pas propres. Heureusement que la chambre comprenait 3 lits, j'ai pu changer ceux-ci. Les draps doivent être lavés à très basse température car même ceux des autres lits avaient des taches de différentes couleurs. C'est dommage car l'hôtel est proche de la gare, des bateaux de croisière. Le personnel est très agréable, serviable. Ma valise a été déposée dans ma chambre vu l'étroitesse des marches (sans ascenseur). Le thé et café est en libre service. Le dernier jour j'ai pu laisser ma valise à la réception pour bénéficier pleinement de la journée pour visiter la ville. Une seule nuit a été difficile car les portes claquaient à tous moments (j'imagine que ces personnes avaient abusé de boissons, elles parlaient très fort dans les escaliers).

Sehr unfreundliches Personal und dreckiges Zimmer

Wir waren für 3 Nächte in diesem Hotel in Amsterdam. Es ist sehr gut gelegen - dies ist jedoch auch das einzige Postive. Das Personal am Emfang war sehr unfreundlich. Niemand sagte Hallo oder Willkommen - ich wurde lediglich gefragt ob ich bar oder mit Karte zahlen wollte. Das Hotel wurde umgebaut weshalb es immer sehr laut war. Der Boden war voller Staub und Baudreck (auch in unserem Zimmer!) und es fehlte der save. Auf den versprochenen Haarfön warteten wir 4 Tage vergeblich. Das Wlan funktionierte nicht. Zudem hingen Kabel aus den Wänden - für spätere Lampen gedacht. Das Fenster war zu hoch, um es selber öffnen zu können. Ein NO GO!
