Pros: Location
Cons: Staff
Location: Very central to shops, bars, and restaurants.
Good location, the first room that we were given had to many steps and were to narrow so we asked to be moved. They moved us to another room in a different part of the hote the following day on a floor with a lift when the member of staff gave me directions to our room she told me to go through the brown door. We made our way to the same brown door that we had went through the first night. The member of staff ran in front of me and said you not listening to me and pointed to another door at the very back of the bar. This was not the only time I found the staff to be cheeky and abrupt although there was one member of staff who was very nice and helpful. Throughout our stay, we did see a mouse running across the floor. The room was clean but compact. In general the hotel was ok but I would not go back to this hotel because of the way I was spoken to by the staff. This is my third time staying in Amsterdam and the only hotel I would not visit again.

The staff gave the information to the member of the family who doesn't speak English, we assumed that he did not understand the instruction. However, the same staff actually gave the correct directions before you and family even enter the wrong door. We do not see the problem here. Furthermore, on the hotel information we put that the hotel has no lift, please pay attention on the information given. We pleased to give you the lift access but hope the information is read by future guests who are making bookings at the hotel. Best, Hotel Manager

Ok Hotel in the centre.

The expierence was quite wierd, the stairs were so steep and we stayed on the top floor, our bathroom was not in the room that we slept in!, no heating it was 5degrees in the room, the to didn't work and not a window, the loft room was quite sweet looking but had to go downstairs for a shower or toilet! Would not go back, but the bed was comfortable.

Beautiful hotel in the Old Quarter

Pros: Everything! Read above.
Cons: Only one thing.....coffee / tea facility in room.
Location: Shopping, shopping, shopping, Red Light District, Coffee shops, clubs, bars, train station. Tram access. People watching, canal trips.....everything!
This hotel had so much character! Very steep stairs but in keeping with this style of building. Very comfortable beds! Very clean! Position of hotel, excellent for train station, Damrak etc Staff very helpful and friendly! Thanks Tamara (?) xxxx Love to Micky, the barroom cat! Would definitely stay again!! Thank you guys! Ps Breakfast was really tasty

Nice hotel close to the Red Light

5 minutes from the train station, staff very welcoming & the room was great, the pictures online don't do it any justice. I would highly recommend this hotel

Only nice thing is the location if...

Horrific!!! Apart of the location nothing is good!!! The toilet disgusting, you cannot move to much in the room for a couple, I don t advice nobody do go this place... waste of money trust me people....

Personal am Empfang sehr nett. Leider war unser Zimmer zwar mit Upgrade, sehr klein. Toilette war direkt in der Dusche, wussten wir nicht. Die Heizung hat bei uns nicht funktioniert, wir hatten einige kalten Nächte. Zwar hat man uns ein wärme ventilator mitgegeben, hat leider nicht so viel gebracht. Für 3 Nächte war es noch knapp in Ordnung. wäre es eine Woche so gewesen dann wäre es ungemütlich. Schade gab es keine Handseife, musste die Dusch-Shampooseife nehmen in der Dusche.
