the lobby smelled of drains which wasn't very nice. ice machine on 1st floor was boarded up but the sign pointing towards it was still on the wall. button 1 didn't work in 1 of the lifts. staff were very friendly & all spoke very good english. nice kilner jar in the lobby with cold water infused with lemon & lime. also different small pieces of fresh fruit at check in desk. great location.

The room generally was clean and tidy. However, the person looking after the room was lazy. She did not clean in the corners, under the bed or did she clean the bathroom properly. At weekends despite double glazing it is very noisy. You can hear police sirens and the nearby crossings. The curtains also do not keep out the light from lights and signage. The hand basin was cracked and shower sometimes worked at full blast whilst at other times the knob would not fully turn. The beds were comfortable. There was an excellent choice if you had the breakfast buffet. The receptionists were all very helpful, friendly and professional. However, at times they really needed more staff on duty to cut down on the long wait. One problem that we suffered a lot from was the key cards. Despite not placing the key cards by our telephones we had to get our cards reprogrammed numerous times. Special mention goes to Carlos the Concierge. Overall the hotel is ideally located in the centre of Amsterdam not far from the Casino and shopping areas. If you do walk too far you can get a taxi, a tuctuc or even the tram which goes nearby

Great location and really friendly staff. Our room was near the night club and was very noisy, reception moved us to the 6th floor, which was perfect. Would definitely use it again.

Building site

We arrived and the main entrance looked like a building site we then got told we had been up graded. At 7 am we woke up to builders outside of r room banging spoke to receptionist didn't seem untreated.

Good location, perfect for only a few nights stay.

We were in a good location. Tram stop only minutes away walking. Lots of shops near by, and only a 20 minute walk to centrum. However the hotel was quite expensive in terms of extras. Breakfast was €23(ish) pp pd which seemed a little pricey. Half of the downstairs was under construction so we it felt like we were in a building site each time we left/returns to the hotel. €4 for a bottle of water!? Well that was just a joke to say that least...and we didn't dare touch the mini bar!.. We had our room changed after being given a cold one where the window didn't close properly but that was soon changed after we asked. Our second room was much better, we did however find a piece of someone's hair extensions. I think a thorough check of the rooms need to be done before occupying it with more people. Staff were helpful throughout our stay but we did quickly find out we got a better deal when we did things on our own. E.g. hotel taxi to the airport €40, Or Uber for just €25 Overall it was a pleasant stay, but we'll probably go somewhere else next time.

Lovely hotel

More of a business hotel than a lesuirely trip as a little out of the way of the centre of Amsterdam. But still a few restaurants and bars near by. Hotel very clean and accommodating. Air con was broke in our room but it being March we didn't need to use it. Tram stops were just across the bridge so very easy to get around from the hotel. Overall a lovely hotel.

couple holiday

Great hotel right in the middle of amsterdam and walking distance of everything eg parks canal rides museums bars restaurants anne franks house lovely helpful staff clean comfortable rooms will be staying here again on our next trip to Amsterdam and have recommended it to friends
