Nice hotel, good location with a lot of things walking distance, staff where nice and friendly, until they trained to downgrade us and put three people in a room with a double bed and an additional single bed as they had given away our room to other guests, then they tried charging us for breakfast and only when I requested to see the manger did they then see their wrong and try solve the problem, checking in and checking out was a nightmare and it was all played off to seem like it was my fault when in fact it was the hotels mistake and not once did anyone say sorry

Dear Anonymous, Thank you so much for sending us your feedback and for choosing our hotel for your recent stay. We are glad to learn that you had such a brilliant stay with us and that our central location made traveling around the city so easy. We aim to provide our guests with a comfortable and luxurious base for exploring Amsterdam, where they can come back to a warm and hospitable team of associates ready to ensure an effortless stay. It seems that we did not fully achieve this for your stay. Thank you for bringing the issue you experienced at the reception to our attention, this is most certainly not the service we aim to provide for our guests. I will look into how we can avoid similar experiences. We hope to welcome you back on your next visit to Amsterdam. Kind regards, Johanna Siemer, Guest Relations Manager

Excellent Location, Room not so great though

Pros: the staff
Cons: Warn people about the noise, room wasnt noise insulated very well
Location: Everything was in walking distance
Hotel was in an excellent location, the hotel itself was nice. however the room wasnt a great standard and the room faced onto the road where all the beer bikes went down. It was like the window was open when it wasnt, it was that loud.

Nice hotel in heart of city

Good location and excellent staff! Staying over the weekend gave us the benefit of the full american breakfast on sat and sun. The hotel reception area was good. We had the superior room as there were 3 of us. The 3rd bed is a sofa bed and the layout of the room was a bit strange. The hotel is on the expensive side and apart from the service and staff it doesn't quite make it a 5 star for me. More of a good 4 star. I would recommend this hotel for the service and staff alone.

Good hotel good location

Had a great stay but had to pay a deposit of 75 euros per night which none of us were aware of and were told we would receive in 2 weeks time with no reciept given. The location was great and in the heart of amsterdam which made easy access for everything.

stag do!!

Absolutely amazing hotel, in an amazingly central location. We paid a very good price for what i think was included and we are definitely returning!! The only fault i would say was the room we were in was right by the flag pole, and this got quite noisy at night! Apart from that all the staff were very friendly they couldnt do more to help you out, some one is always available! Its also the little things that make this hotel stand out such as bringing toothpaste up to the room, or giving out hotel umbrellas when it was raining! Brilliant place!!

The gentlemen who dealt with us was amazing. He checked us in early. Upgraged our room as there was a little error when trying to get into our room. (Dealt with straight away) the staff were so helpful. The rooms werr imaculate. Cleaned daily. And wr had a bath in our room which was lovely :-). Will definately be staying here again wen we come back in october :-)
